It is going to be a turnout problem. Who could pull the lever for an "R" and actually in his heart believe that it will make a difference in how we are governed.
The best that can be said is that voting "R" could keep Democrats from control of the houses of Congress. But that doesn't mean the conservative agenda will be advanced.

Recently I have been reading about the writing of the US Constitution, a contentious time of eight years. Those patriots who fought and formed this new nation were quite clear. They clearly did not want any supermajority except for treaties and overturn of vetoes. As this 2011 article below points out, the supermajority is putting a hurt on getting things done.
