Men would rather go out with a "gangling, pimply girl" than stay home. Women would rather stay home, or go out with the girls, than be seen with a guy who does not meet their standards.

There’s a book written by a very famous NYC criminal forensic pathologist called “Called Where Death Delights”. It’s the pathologist professional biography of a lifetime of support to the NYPD. I don’t remember the authors name any more but its a fascinating read. (And I hope I am not confusing this with another book!)
Back to the point I am trying to make. The author states he can walk on to any crime scene and immediately tell if homosexual anger/rage - say jealousy is the motive. He says he can do this by observing the level of violence left at the crime scene.
Yes and its amusing to go to HS reunions and see them try to reassert that status.
