This seems to be a horrible crime and I hope justice is served. Was there a local vigil held for 9-11, Ft. Hood, Boston Marathon, Orlando or San Bernardino. If not I feel that they are somewhat selective in their outrage.
Well the blacks and hispanics sure are proud of their racism nowadays.

But good point about the numbers. If it was 3 last year and it is 5 this year, crimes that were believed to involve specific animus would rise 67 percent.
I wanted confirmation of that before carrying that any further.

This is one instance I think the NY Times can be trusted. They wouldn't publish this if they could get away with lying about it.

Conversely, if the number of murders committed by muslims rose by 150 this year over last year the percentage would barely rise at all.
I think the story and the questions that arise about it certainly underscore the point that a blind “Fight or die” can raise up some pretty senseless mayhem if not murder.
Many a rage-crazed party of many a group has done things for the sake of “survival” — when it turned out the threat was an illusion — that this party regretted in the cold light of day.

A little background on this case which the article/story didn’t provide. All this is subject to updated information.
1. The suspected killer was here illegally and is on an ICE detainer right now. Being held on much dinaro bail and isn’t getting out at all.
2. It may have been a hate crime or just a psycho Hispanic illegal doing whatever he wanted to do (like the killer of Kate Steinlee). Only time will tell.
3. The clergyman is full of shit. Racism is not on the rise because there are so many different definitions of “racism” that anything can be called “racist”.
Listen to Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Maxine Waters, Ben Jealous of the NAACP, Colin Kaepernick, etc. They call most whites “racists”, either as open racists or closet racists.
Hispanics from La Raza (The Race), Casa de Maryland (and other similar Casas), call everyone who is opposed to illegal immigration “racists”. Casa de Maryland was led by arch-racist Tom Lopez, Obama’s Secy of Labor and now the chairman of the DNC. The man is batshit crazy and a formidable racist in his own right. The Vice-Chair of the DNC is Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minn) who practices racism in many ways. He hated Black conservatives, conservative whites in general, he’s a Black Moslem so he hates Jews and many Christians, and he’s up to his neck in supporting Marxist fronts, so he hates capitalism, etc.
White guilt-trippers, esp. among white clergy, are “pulpit racists” as this pastor Christopher Drury is. he doesn’t know anything about the case (he lives in Santa Cruz, which was once a really decent place to live in or even just to visit). So he’s now an expert on the rise of “proud racism”.
Me thinks he has been drinking too much of the sacramental wine and eating rotten communion wafers (which is fermented, can make you drunk).
Let the police do their job, and the local prosecutor/team. Then we will know if there is a great “rise” in racism against Moslems, or whether this was one out of control illegal who liked to beat the crap out of people he argued with.
Anyhow, I want the killer executed. I’m totally unbiased about putting deliberate killers to death. I don’t even care why they did the crime. I just want justice for the victim and safety for the community. “Dead” will do both.
