Would you want to be the Repub who stopped this bill? Let the Conservatives get their improvements and then pass it.

You Floridians stick together. Met some great ones at the Duck/FSU game. Not too happy after, but great fun before.

Pat --I read your review of "Shattered". I thought it was a little better than you did. Both my wife and I listened to it on tape in the car over a few road trips. Although it was obvious the authors were Hillary fans, they didn't mince any details of the incompetence of the Clinton campaign and the overconfidence of the candidate. .

Originally the title was to represent the "Shattering" of the glass ceiling in politics, but it came down to "Shattered" dreams of Hillary and all the campaign staffers who were jockeying for key positions in a Clinton administration.

I think the book is a tutorial on how NOT to run a political campaign

Why should the gummit tell people they have to buy insurance let alone what kind of healthcare.

Because it's a tax.

Frightening stuff. It needs to be exposed. I see the Fusion link as the Rosetta Stone of this entire Russian investigation. The FBI was funding Steele and used the dossier as the key element to take down Trump.

The bottom line evidence for the takedown also includes the Crowdstrike report of the DNC server.

I often forget to add, it is possible for "hacking" and "insider leak" to be concurrent. It is possible that the DNC server was infected with viruses, and for the Wikileaks material to have come from a completely different source. The CIA, NSA nad FBI invite the leap to conclusion that because the server was infected, the infection is the vector for Wikileaks. But they never connect the dots. The evidence trail DOES NOT EXIST.

The Conservatives are a distinct minority. It depends how intransigent they are and whether they can compromise. The objective is not so much a complete repeal and replacement of Obamacare as it is a better plan for healthcare than Obamacare. The public perception, if the Reps pass a new healthcare plan, is that Obamacare has been replaced. The Reps will be blamed for the collapse of Obamacare. The pressure will grow to "fix" Obamacare.

Doctors are the evil rich so they deserve to be punished. It’s the Marxist way.

Ok then, a short story.

I was born in Communist Eastern Europe. My father was a MD, a Gynecologist. In the old country supermarkets back in the 1960's looked just like they do today in Venezuela.

Our family however had fresh eggs often, meat often and some other above average things (For a communist country)

The reason we had the "good" things in life in the old country was because my father was a very good Doctor, and his patients paid him the only way one could in a communist country.

Fortunately for us we escaped that communist hell hole in the mid 1960s and made our way to America where the streets are paved with gold.

My father's first job in America in New York State - Cutting grass - Yes indeed, he was culturally appropriating Mexican illegal standards. Back in the day.

Dude, Florida is one big-@$$ state!

Trust me! I know! I'm in outside sales and my vehicles have put on 790,000 miles in the last 20 years. My current vehicle, Nitro RT, has 390,000 miles on it and it's only 8 years old. Nearly all of those miles have been done in Florida!

I hardly drive it on the weekends. Prefer to drive one of the "hotrods" on the weekend.

Shucks, before the 2016 POTUS race, you could have said that about, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, North Carolina, Florida & Iowa, etc. Both New Jersey and Virginia have had many Republican governors, over the years...the latest being Chris Christie for the last eight years in New Jersey!!!

Me....I’m a low life,...I would immediately layoff 30,000 “totally useless” federal government workers that reside in Virginia, crack down on any person that smacks of illegal or fraud voting, Turnout the “coal miners, etc.” of VA, and watch the voting demographics change overnight!!!

You gotta be in the race to win it and, you gotta believe the effort is worth it, win or lose!!!

Agreed. The Dems did not want to track the source of the leak. DWS says DHS and the FBI never contacted her about the hacking and offered no assistance. That sounds like the WH got involved and called off the dogs believing that Hillary would win easily and that any real investigation might reveal an inside job. The Russian narrative was employed after the loss on November 8.

Without sounding like a conspiracy nut, the death of Seth Rich and the events following it suggest that the hacking was an inside job by an angry Bernie supporter. No one doubts that the leaks were accurate, which brings into question the operations of the DNC, their collusion with the MSM, and the fixing of the primary in favor of Hillary. Pretty damning stuff.

At this point unfortunately about all we can do with Healthcare this go along with whatever plan they come up with and then try and tweak it over the next eight years

Unfortunately, due to the tentacles and traps installed by 0 & the Dems, it has to be a phased plan.

Well glad you got to read the review. I liked the book if you will but my biggest complaint was the stale news factor.

To me it was just so obvious that Hillary was a big contributor to the book and the authors treated her gently.

But yeah, they did a pretty good job of describing a failed run for office and describing Hillary’s shortcomings.

On This Week with George Steponallofus we have Kelly Conway….a sweet child but Lord she can talk nonstop.

Senator Schumer was also on, speaking of talking nonstop. He is against the repeal of Obamacare, of course.

The most stupid of all was Susan Collins, who said her biggest problem with the new Republican health care plan is its stoppage of money to Planned Parenthood.

Really?

Tell me people, why should the gubmint pay for Planned Parenthood. Don’t tell me they help with women’s healthcare, no they do not.

What PP does is provide free birth control to the ghetto and abortions to whoever needs one.

Which is not illegal, please understand, but why shouldn’t the gubmint give Pat Fish’s home for females who might get pregnant?

Why is the gubmint allowed to pick a provider except we all know this organization gives lots of money to the politicos.

And Susan Collins, you meally mouth liberal in disguise…become a Democrat already!

Those on Medicaid pay no premiums. It is all free.

The RATs talk about how many people are going to lose their "insurance". Medicaid is not insurance...it's MEDICAL WELFARE.

I forgot:

It is all free.

"Free" to the parasites!

It costs working people and insured billions through taxes and skyrocketing "provider costs" as a result of "cost shifting".....a crooked practice that needed to be banned a decade ago.
