A mother has been charged in the deaths of her two young children, after she allegedly left them in a hot car as punishment while she smoked pot and took a nap.
Cynthia Marie Randolph, 25, was charged Friday with two counts of first-degree injury to a child causing serious bodily injury in Weathorford, Texas after her kids were found dead May 26.

The only thing different would be the excuses. This time the excuse was smoking pot, that excuse may no be viable for all people.
So now some sleazy public defender will try to convince the jury to be lenient because her children died. If I were on that jury, I would say this was murder. No one, not even a pothead unfit mother is that stupid. Those poor little ones must have suffered and cried for their worthless, cruel mother. Animal mothers take better care of their young.

If I am reading a summary correctly, she was charged with a first degree felony. Life or 25 - 99 years for each count. Manslaughter would be 2-20 (2nd degree felony).
I guess she was charged this way because the authorities wanted to crack down on her.

She locked them in to “teach them a lesson”. She needs to be taught a lesson. This wasn’t about back pain.
