Bleeding America?
The American Thinker ^ | 06/20/17 | J. Robert Smith

“If they want civil war in this country, they will probably end up getting it,” Tweeted actor and conservative James Woods, last week. The “they” are an array of Democrats and leftists. Woods posted his Tweet just hours after James T. Hodgkinson, a Bernie Sanders’ groupie-turned-gunman, opened fire on Republican Congressman Steve Scalise and others at an Alexandria, Virginia ball field.

Radio talk show host Michael Savage commented last Tuesday, prior to the shootings:

“I don’t know how much more of this the country can take. We are at a boiling point. There’s going to be a civil war.”

Tweeted Sheriff David A. Clarke, Jr., last Friday in response to banners held aloft by leftist protesters that read: “Become Ungovernable” and “This is War”:

Really? It's not what I prefer but if the left insists... time to saddle up. I didn't help get @realDonaldTrump elected to back down now.

Could Woods and Savage, in particular, be right? The words, “Civil war,” are on more lips nowadays. Will America’s long cold civil war finally turn hot? And if war came, what sort of war would it be?

Whatever you do, don’t expect any help in the fight for freedom from the Wall St. Journal types. They would have supported King George instead of George Washington because they LOVE the establishment and have no desire to change it.

I’m 66, a US Air Fore veteran, and I will not go gently into that good night when the left makes its move from warm to hot. Surrender is not in my DNA. I will die on my feet rather than live on my knees.

They don’t want our side to win, hence all the new invaders they’re bringing in daily.

No need to fight those old fashioned wars. Take out the electrical grid and the bridges halting transportation of food into the cities. Air drops? Not likely when the electrical grid is down. It wouldn’t take long for a modern day siege to be effective.

That would be like a cop trying to break up a domestic... both would turn on the UN thugs. (hopefully)

Author of “Bleeding America” from American Thinker is J. Robert Smith. His name was not disclosed on the original post. Not sure why.

I’m betting omitting the original author’s name, and failure to attribute the text of the article, deliberate or not, could land FR in copyright infringement territory. You guys need to watch out with your posts. Stuff like this could be used by lawyers against FR if it happens often enough.

My fault. I skipped over it during posting filling in the blanks I could without copy and paste. I intended to go back and insert it but hit post instead of preview and posted before I was finished.

The narrative should be "the left is pushing for a civil war." Anything else makes it sound like we're going to start it if pushed far enough. The blame needs to fall squarely on their shoulders.

Having said that, I feel it would be better to just separate into two different nations. No need for violence (I hope). We could become a truly Constitutional Republic and they could become their Socialist Democracy hellhole.

A lot of “talk” here. I had a friend who did 2 tours in viet nam special forces. Had encounter w land mine, survived but disabled. He died in 2015 age 67. He had a saying “Do it, then talk about it” WE are full of talk. Antifa is out there in the streets. Not advocating, but when, not if, push comes to shove, then what ??

Another item that must be factored in is TIC (Those in Charge) such as LEOs and the military. How will they react to the fighting? Arrest one side, arrest them all, shoot everyone with a gun, turn their backs, etc.

I’ve seen civil war and I really don’t want to see it here...or ever again. The non-combatants always seem to suffer the most.

But the ball is in the Left’s court. Their leaders need to step up and condemn the violence of Antifa and the other rioters. And Antifa and the others need to stop.

I’m just about of the opinion TIC near the top of the food chain want civil unrest.

I think the Right is displaying quiet restraint and their restraint will diminish in slow doses as needed to protect themselves and others. I don’t think we’ll see a peaceful today and an all out civil war tomorrow; it’ll be a slow boil.

Who will win? The Left will gain ground in the beginning, then they’ll get their asses handed to them in an unrelenting manner.

Again though...my most fervent thought is the Left wakes up, realizes this is absolutely the wrong path and stops.

Part of the problem with our side is the necessity for and the difficulty in establishing moral justification. Our theologians still debate about “just wars”, a question which ought to have been settled centuries ago. All this “talk” is helpful if it provides the moral clarity which can then lead to formal organization and practical leadership.

At this point what else can be done? The leftist kooks will try to provoke our kooks and then try to capitalize on the outrage. We however can be outraged over a lone gunman, or a Shakespeare play in the park, or over that idiot comedienne’s ISIS picture, but we do nothing.

Most on our side will NOT move against anyone without moral clarity, and legitimizing established authority.

Our side talks a lot..about whether there should even be a concealed carry permit, or whether the war between the states was a “civil war”, or whether there should be a convention of states, etc., when we should be honestly asking ourselves,

“Is there not a cause!?”

One of the leftist's goals is to goad some conservative somewhere into reacting violently. Satisfying as it may be we can't take the bait. Scathing e-mails to journalists and politicians should be the limit of our response.

Ironic that this pacifist comment was posted by someone who calls themselves InABunkerUnderSF.

The left laughs at people like you, who cower in their bunkers, writing strongly worded letters to editors, while they commit actual violence against the civil society.

Maybe you hadn't noticed, but the left has already moved beyond the war of words. They now only use words as dog whistles and battle cries to their brainwashed minions. Minions who are itching to bash your head in, at the slightest provocation.

Get a grip on reality, and focus your situational awareness. This thing has gone beyond mere political disagreements between the left and right. Our side is under active assault, and it's getting worse by the day. Prepare to fight, or prepare to surrender. Those are your only choices.

Prescient book - The Sovereign Individual by Rees-Mogg and Davidson. It traces the history of technology, economics, and conflict and predicts that the large nation states are going to break up and we may have a return to city-states or march regions. It’s not going to be pretty getting there.

It’s interesting that they say major shifts in history take place about every 500 years, with the last one, the collapse of the Soviet Union, occurring approximately with the end of of the century.

My experience in Tampa FL is that for the past several years the LEO community has practiced a double standard of enforcement. Strict against whites and citizens, benefit of the doubt and look the other way for the minorities and blatant illegals. This would magnify in any confrontation as a large asset for the left.

My experience with members of the military within my own "family" has been dismal. Those in their 20's who have completed service have been indoctrinated in the school system and the military itself with self-incrimination if they are white and guilt for the supposed plight of those who are not. Some of the most knee-jerk-liberal left leaning people I know are ex-military.

Again I see this coming down on the side of the illegals and against any militia movements from the right. Also keep in mind the FBI has already reassigned the definition of "terrorist" from a Somalian or a Yemeni male of a certain age to a ten-generation American male who is a member of a right wing militia.

Television and Hollywood constantly portray villains as stereotypical white male Americans and frequently with military backgrounds who are the aggressors. And their victims as law-abiding minorities with uncanny and statistically unsupportable middle-class values. The upside down drumbeat in film and on TV is a constant reversal of ethnic roles and a complete twisting of values.

Where the feds will fall would seem to me to be a given: Middle class whites and Trump supporters will remain the targets--as we are now.
