Again though...my most fervent thought is the Left wakes up, realizes this is absolutely the wrong path and stops.

Did you see or hear about the Facebook Live session last night with Bernie and Lieawatha? They're not backing down. Last night they doubled down.

There is nothing civil about Civil War.

Somebody starts it and somebody finishes it.

The in between is very messy.

For most Americans, their frame of reference is the U.S. Civil War. It was sectional rivalry -- a “War Between the States.” It was generally -- and neatly -- defined geographically. History rarely repeats itself, so blue states lining up against red states -- not for secession this go, but for national control – seems improbable.

I am not buying off on that premise. A peaceful secession is the way to go, although not perfect, it is the best way forward.

If Alabama( a blue state ) were to secede there may some unrest in Birmingham but the state and the governor will handle that. Once subsided, the "normal" political processes can begin again.

Red states, like NY, will have the opposite problem with the cities loving secession and the country side full of unrest.

Those preaching that the choices are either the status quo or complete anarchy and internecine dystopic warfare are simply wrong. This is the scare tactic of the Establishment to keep us cowed until we can no longer fight back or decide our own fates.

A peaceful secession is possible and desirable at this point. Don't let Establishment status quo types fool you. These are the same demons that sold us on Free trade.

Agreed. This is Soros’ Ukrainian model. Watch for never ending “Maidon” type protests in D.C.

I’m ex-military myself and that’s sad to hear. But far as I know the majority of my generation of military folks do not have that attitude.

I think you may very well be right regarding LEOs, etc. What I hope for is an across the board application of the law.

Shortly I’m moving even farther out into the country and hope to avoid the entire mess as long as possible.

When it gets to my house, my car, etc. I’ll deal with it as necessary.

I'm with you...they have no idea what's in store for them if all this bs gets out of hand. I'm praying that it doesn't.

Scathing e-mails to journalists and politicians should be the limit of our response.

That only goes so far.

Tampa police don’t seem to have changed much from the 1950’s.

“Antifa is out there in the streets.”

Antifa is a mob. They get juiced up on drugs and alcohol and then cause trouble. No training. No unit cohesion. They won’t last five minutes in a firefight.
