FULL TITLE - Judge Napolitano: Sessions Will Be Testifying As A Witness; Dangerous Position, He Should Not Testify

Fox News senior judicial analyst Andrew Napolitano weighs in on Attorney General Jeff Serssions' decision to testify in an open hearing about his contacts with Russians during the 2016 election.

JUDGE NAPOLITANO: [Newt Gingrich] is partially right in that Bob Mueller is not neutral. Prosecutors are not neutral, they prosecute people!

They believe that their targets are guilty and they amass evidence to justify that belief, that is what they do. They fact that Bob Mueller and Jim Comey may be friends, and colleagues, is also of no [matter]

Fair enough; as I rarely click any links, I have little knowledge of how they do that.

I’d like to hear Sessions say the FBI has confirmed there was no collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russians, and he is revoking his recusal and will resume his rightful position in any investigation.

“Napolitano was the ...jerk...who thought Comey’s testimony was disastrous for Trump...”

I heard him say that and I almost could not believe he had actually said it. It was pathetic and untrue. It was obvious that Comey’s testimony was the opposite of disastrous for Trump.

Is it because they control the media, or is it because our side is really their side with a rubber mask on?
The latter does a better job explaining why the Republican party rolled over for the Democrat parties this past decade, IMO.

Mueller isn’t a special prosecutor. He cannot bring charges. He can only present his final report the the Atty General.

This isn’t the old special prosecutor of the 90s.

Napolitano is a traitor to me now. You’re either with us, or against us, if you’re against us, you’ve got to go.

And he has an Eddie Munster hairline.

Sessions is not the problem, but Muller and Comey are. Sessions should make their lives very dangerous. Like SWAT Team raid dangerous like what has been done by the left, but 10X more. Remember leftist SWAT raids in Minnesota against Scott Walker donors?

I'm not sure he can make their lives that dangerous -- sure, he has the ability to do so… but as we've seen again and again, those that get to the Senate seem to, as a rule, be compromised. As evidence, I submit that Sessions voted for the Iran Deal which (quite plainly, IMO) was treason. Moreover, if we consider the rumors of the Clinton Foundation influence-peddling and pay-to-play as true, then we must admit that there is necessarily a large segment of people in high positions across the upper echelons of government who would be required to be in on it in some form or another.

I hope I'm wrong and Sessions will be an anti-corruption AG, but I'd be lying if I said I expected anything less than the above: those in power are naturally disinclined to move against their own power or to allow such moves to be made.

He can bring charges. See clause (c) of Order No. 3915-2017.

No doubt there is a huge “uniparty” influence involved.

But the bigger contributor is that our guys are spineless cowards who are petrified of drawing the focused wrath of the leftist media.

After hearing Napolitano singing the praises of Comey a couple weeks ago, I take anything he says with a grain of salt. Agreed.

I suspect that Sessions will lay outthe case for going after Comey for Obstuction and leaking classified info (singularly named, as well as the case against Loretta Lynch, Comey and the deep state apparatus. Trump has always been a counterpuncher, and if done right, congress will be forced to get of Mueller themselves. We will see what Trump has in mind.

Have you looked at Sessions? Why do people have so much faith in him to make any tough decisions at this point?

"-- Mueller isn't a special prosecutor. He cannot bring charges. --"

"He can bring charges. See clause (c) of Order No. 3915-2017."

Does it change Mueller's abilities (possibilities) if he is a "Special Counsel", as opposed to a "Special Prosecutor"?

I have been following your posts for a while, and *know* that you are well-versed in what you speak...

Sessions recused himself long ago specifically BECAUSE he wanted to be a witness.

This is precisely why he doesn’t have a gig in the Trump administration.
