Can’t watch where I am right now, so I am just reading this thread. I may have this wrong, but, if they are addressing Comey as “Director” that is okay, just as a president, or a senator, e.g., should still be addressed by those titles, even after they are no longer in those positions

Getting tired of questions being dodged because they supposedly involve classified information. That’s a real concern, but I believe swamp people use it to keep many facts from the public as much as anything else.

A key point here is that Trump saying he hoped Comey can let this go could just be Trump’s emotional response to the investigation of Flynn—just Trump’s feeling about it. That kind of statement is not necessarily a direction to Comey or the FBI. It all depends on perception.

Comey claims he did not keep a copy of the memo’s he wrote? Not on his computer? Not a copy he gave to his attorney? Guy is liar.

That’s the second time he’s said that he turned his memos to file over to Bob Mueller. How convenient. They were apparently purely personal memos (for personal use) since there’s been no mention of their being in official FBI files from the time he was still Director.

It may not have been ‘classified’, but there is still FOUO considerations. Seems to apply here.
FOUO is a DoD dissemination control applied to unclassified information when disclosure to the public of that particular record, or portion thereof, would reasonably be expected to cause a foreseeable harm to an interest protected by one or more of Freedom of Information Act (FOIA)....
