That’s the second time he’s said that he turned his memos to file over to Bob Mueller. How convenient. They were apparently purely personal memos (for personal use) since there’s been no mention of their being in official FBI files from the time he was still Director.
We have no idea if those memos are the original notes he claims he made right after the meetings/phone calls. Notes are one thing. Memos made form those notes are another thing. People usually dictate their thoughts into a recorder, or jot them down on paper, then later prepare a longer document from their recorded comments, or written notes. Who’s to say what embellishments he added as he was transferring his notes into memo form.
