Trump planning to trim 'get whitey' bureaucracy
American Thinker ^ | 5/30/17 | Ed Straker

There are thousands of bureaucrats in the federal government whose only job is to find racist white people. And sexist men. And non-progressive-thinking people who don't want disguised men in girls' bathrooms. But in Trump's new budget he wants to cut back on some of this effort:

The Trump administration is planning to disband the Labor Department division that has policed discrimination among federal contractors for four decades... the move would fold the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs, now home to 600 employees, into another government agency in the name of cost-cutting.

Did you know that there are actually 600 government employees, in just one agency alone,. whose job is to not respond to but actually to search out for discrimination?

Unlike the EEOC, which investigates complaints it receives, the compliance office audits contractors in a more systematic fashion and verifies that they “take affirmative action” to promote equal opportunity among their employees.

According to Wikipedia, this ‘office’ was started in 1978 by a Jimmy Carter executive order.

Since then we’ve had DECADES of Republicans either running the House, the Senate, and/or the White House...and, at any time, did they attempt to do what Trump is doing?

So I ask you NeverTrumpers (not you, Mark) - would Hillary have done better?

These are basically scams by the government used to create wealth redistribution through fines and settlements, or by forcing the hiring of non-qualified employees because of some non-work related issue like sex or skin color.

The federal government is essentially doing the same thing that the longshoreman’s unions did back in the 1950’s.

They both used their power to steal from businesses.

The longshoreman’s unions did it to enrich themselves.

The federal government does it to enrich their designated victim groups.

Can’t happen soon enough! Also need to disband groups like the Black & Hispanic caucuses, I mean we are not supposed to be racial, right? Or is it only whites that aren’t supposed to be?

He should sure as hell not fold one agency into another. He should eliminate funding to both agencies and fire whom he can legally fire while transferring the rest to work at small desks in broom closets and boiler rooms.

Telling employers whom they may hire and fire is another incentive for those that can to go offshore.

Greed wasn’t “kept in check” by competition. Greed was intensified and caused people to try to get a piece of the pie by making the widget a bit cheaper or of better quality. That’s how greed works in a free market in a framework of Law. The conditions are mostly gone now and Greed takes different tracks. It bribes congressmen to pass special laws and to regulate smaller competitors either out of business or sufficienly to keep them small.Greed is. The unhampered market bounded by real and immutable criminal Law which closes off the path for gain by robbery and kidnapping and such as it channels the omnipresent greed into ever more efficient production of goods and ever lower prices for a prospering society.

If they can’t be legally fired due to being Civil Service it would be cheaper and better for the system to simply pay them their salaries with no further raises and all benefits trimmed as much as legally possible and require them in their new positions to not ever again show their faces in the office or communicate with the office.

If your job depends on finding discrimination, you’ll find something, real or not.

This is a perfect example of why I voted for Trump.

How is that cost cutting? All their doing is moving one pile of manure to another pasture. The 600 employees will still be doing the same thing. Cost cutting would be firing the 600 people.

It'll save money by allowing everyone to bid on government contracts, not just woman and/or minority-owned businesses.

the black vs. white paradigm is a divide & rule strategy by certain pols.

**
Exactly. I have been saying that for years.

I remember the days of racial segregation. After the passage of the Equal Rights Amendment, black and white people found themselves working along side one another and found they could get along just fine. It seemed to me that the early 1970s saw a lot of racial healing. But the Rats didn’t like that because they always need a group of voters with grievances. So they began all sorts of policies primarily designed to stir the pot of resentment.

Oh great, in Trump's new budget.

Congress passes the budgets.

How come Obama got so much done without congress?

"My father once had a very competent lab assistant who happened to be a black lady. She told him this was a problem for her even back in the late 1970s. Everyone assumed she was a token affirmative action hire. She hated it because she had worked very hard to get to the position she had achieved without that nonsense."

I spent half of my career working at a major multinational chemical company at one of their locations in the south. The time frame overlapped with the beginnings of the "affirmative action" push, and the company hired a LOT of black chemists.

Most of them were fairly competent, some (especially those from Catholic school backgrounds) especially so. But I had the misfortune to land a young black man with a masters degree from a secular, all-black college. He simply was incapable of doing the work, and probably should never have graduated high school, much less gotten a masters credential. He seemed to be actually borderline retarded.

He was eventually let go, and in his eyes, it was "just the system" keeping him down.

There are always exceptions. I have seen many more that fit the rule than are execptions.

I have seen many examples of people coached extensively to be prepared for a job they were not qualified for at all with only one purpose, to fill a quota, make the number look good or to satisfy the “encouragement” of some EEO type audit.

Just the term “affirmative action” is racist and has no place in any society.

Agreed. I was the most blatantly racist law ever made. It should never have existed in the first place.
