Howdy, EGC! (((hugs)))

All is well here except for the heat. Oh, well...it is the desert so what do I expect! :) It’s supposed to cool down by Sunday. I hope it really does.

Did you and Bo have a good trek yesterday? What’s the plan for today? Are there any turtles to be found now?

We did find a turtle yesterday at the lake. We’ll see how things go today. It’s forecast to be a little bit warm.

Enjoy the day and make sure you take some water with you! And get some nice cold ice cream afterward. LOL!

THE GREAT AMERICAN SONGBOOK

GEORGE GERSHWIN

GIRL CRAZY

SARAH VAUGHAN: “BUT NOT FOR ME”

Sassy’s 1958 studio sessions with Hal Mooney produced one gem after another. Here she sings the intro, and the song itself becomes something sublime.

Sarah Vaughan: “But Not For Me”

Hi Kathy!

I sometimes enjoy posting obscure bands on the music threads on FR just to see if anybody has heard of them.

The art rock (so called by the rock press) band only existed from 1969 to 1972 and produced three albums as far as I know.

Two of those albums are only so-so but the one titled THE HOUSE ON THE HILL is a real classic gem, from the opening song JACKDAW to the last INDIAN SUMMER.

If you type in “Audience” in your search engine (I use Yahoo) you’ll probably get nothing. Type “the rock band Audience” and it should turn up some info on the band plus some youtube videos.

THE HOUSE ON THE HILL album is considered by many rock music aficionados to truly be one of the great classic albums produced in the rock era, especially the period 1967 through 1972. Lots of really great stuff from that time period.

Thanks for asking...
