Having dated a musician many years ago, the seems to me to be lamenting life on the road and the temptations it offered while trying to reassure the one at home that those road girls don’t mean a thing.
But I could be wrong and just personalizing it based on what I was dealing with in 1985.
It’s really probably about pot, right?

You know they have a statue of him in Prague? I wish I had known that when I was in Prague!!
We were there, on a walking tour. Went to where the 'Stalin Statue' was and were told it is now one of the 'go to' skate boarder meccas. Cool.
We then went to Prague Castle and were told we were going next to the 'Lenin' wall.
WTF? I thought.
Long story short, it was actually the 'Lennon" wall, as in John Lennon.
OK, Like him or not, the story told was an amazing story of the triumph of people over totalitarianism.

Good evening, radu...we were supposed to have lots of rain today, but it came in fits and starts. It did hail for about 15 minutes while we were in a boring meeting. The hail started by hitting the window, then coming straight down.
How about you?
Still working the night evening stuff. But she’s watching TV now. Laundry going.

I read up on it after your question, and the idea for the using the name came from when he heard a lady yelling for her toddler, “Melissa, come back here!”
