‘Potential Apocalypse’: NYT Warns Of Global Warming Floods Of Biblical Proportions

The New York Times has taken warnings about global warming to a whole new level, publishing a three-part series suggesting a “potential apocalypse” from melting ice sheets if humans keep pumping carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.

“If that ice sheet were to disintegrate, it could raise the level of the sea by more than 160 feet — a potential apocalypse, depending on exactly how fast it happened,” NYT reporter Justin Gillis wrote of what some scientists predict could happen to Antarctica.

Gillis points to recent research suggesting “the collapse of the ice sheet will become inevitable,” likening the projected 160-foot sea-level rise to flood stories from the Epic of Gilgamesh to the Bible’s Old Testament.

“In the Epic of Gilgamesh, waters so overwhelm the mortals that the gods grow frightened, too,” Gillis wrote, “In India’s version, Lord Vishnu warns a man to take refuge in a boat, carrying seeds. In the Bible, God orders Noah to carry two of every living creature on his ark.”

“I don’t think the biblical deluge is just a fairy tale,” Terence Hughes, a retired glaciologist told Gillis. “I think some kind of major flood happened all over the world, and it left an indelible imprint on the collective memory of mankind that got preserved in these stories.”

Huh? Now they're quoting the bible? What's up with that? In any case, NYC, LA, SanFran mostly flooded.. Down side? Oddly enough, there was a report the other day that contradicted itself about the demise of the south pole. It's melting, but, maybe it's not after all. Now, about tomorrows forecast. 80% chance they'll get that wrong. Forecast 100 years from now? 110% (according to them) they're correct.

Al Gore has another climate change thriller coming out soon. I’m expecting to see a renewed climate change propaganda effort.

If it wasn’t for global warming, Chicago would still be under a mile of ice.

When the drugged out and alcoholic mediots at the NY Slimes cite the bible, we know that they have bottomed out on the floors of the the NY Slimes.

Scientific Study: Journalist, (aka Mediots), Are a Bunch of Drunks With Sub-Average Brain Function!

According to a study released Thursday by neuroscientist Dr. Tara Swart in association with the London Press Club, the highest functions of the human brain operate at a lower level in journalists than the average population. Her research titled “Study Into The Mental Resilience of Journalists,” blames journalists’ cognitive shortcomings on dehydration caused by excessive alcohol consumption along with poor diet, including higher levels of sugar and caffeine. Less than 5% of journalists drink enough — or any — water while 41% drank more than 18 alcoholic drinks per week.

They predicted a Clintoon landslide of Biblical proportions in 2016. How’d that turn out? WaPo needs to back off from trying to predict natural disasters.

You’re right. Almost every culture has the flood story (suggesting a common origin with the descendants). But you forget that there was a reason God ordered up a flood; and

it wasn’t because the world wasn’t a social justice place where gays and trans were not in vogue and abortion was outlawed
and women didn’t rule over men... and so there was divine judgment on those racist homophobic pigs...

(although that’s probably the way it will be taught fairly soon...)

Well, since libs are now embracing Bible verses, let’s see if they will agree with this one...
Leviticus 18:22
“Do not practice homosexuality, having sex with another man as with a woman. It is a detestable sin.”
In truth, they care nothing for the Bible and are only using it to sway people to their way on thinking..

Hinduism on weather patterns? Who writes for this paper? It gets stupider by the month.

Last week, they proclaimed “the planet” was upset about Trump. Not America or the world, mind you, the actual planet we are all sitting on.

So when are the staff and writers at the NY Times planning to sell their homes in the Hamptons and move their corporate offices to Cleveland?

Lev 18:25  And the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants.

It is man made but it is not carbon.

So some reporter jerk put on his or her jockey shorts in the morning and over coffee decides to write a “what the heck anyway” false story yet again. A good flood in New Orleans would do a wonder of good and that includes SF - they really need a bath there. In the Seventies, TIME magazine said a global ice age was coming. Good thing Al Gore came out with his globull warming theory and saved us all from a winter horror.
