Senate Democrats May Refuse To Vote On Trump FBI Pick: Schumer
Reuters via One America News Network (OANN) ^ | May 14, 2017 | Ayesha Rascoe

[Schumer] said on Sunday that Democrats would consider refusing to vote on a new FBI director until a special prosecutor is named to investigate President Donald Trump’s potential ties to Russia.

Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer said his caucus has not yet made a decision on whether to withhold their votes, but added that the issue is being looked at as a way to ensure there is a thorough investigation of alleged Russian meddling in the 2016 U.S. election.

“To have that special prosecutor, people would breathe a sigh of relief because then there would be a real independent person overlooking the FBI director,” Schumer told CNN’s “State of the Union” program.

It is extremely disturbing to me to see democrats and some republicans plot against President Trump to trip him up on something stemming from baseless charges.

By now, it is evident there is no collusion between Russia and Donald Trump in interfering with the 2016 election. If here had been any evidence, it would have surfaced long ago.

What the plotters are now attempting to do is to hamstring the President’s actions and at the same time set a trap for him to be accused of obstructing justice.

I remember that Nixon was never accused of ordering a break-in of a democrat Watergate office, rather he was accused and driven from office based on the ‘cover-up’.

Using a similar play, the democrats plot to set a trap for obstructing justice, nothing to do with the underlying charge or the veracity of that charge.

It reminds me of a friend who received a $512 parking ticket while attending a concert. He had received the ticket for parking in a ‘handicapped parking only’ area that was marked by orange traffic cones.

The parking spaces were not permanently marked, the traffic cones were put up after my friend had arrived early to park. Whoever put up the cones in my friend’s space and the spaces in a line with it, was a moron or sadistic. My friend had paid for parking, took the parking receipt to traffic court and was successful in his argument that the time on the receipt and the time of concert event trapped him, and that the parking spaces were not permanently marked.

Chuckie, be careful what you wish for.

Do you really want the uranium contract exposed? Or Podesta’s stock deal? Or Hitlery’s worldwide shakedown for her sham foundation?

Be careful where you tread, Chuckie Schmukie

right, there's plenty of known corrupt deals with the russians by podesta & hildabeast.

go for a special prosecutor.

comey never gave the foundation immunity.

Whatever. They are going to lose at least 10 seats next Senate election.

Let them roast in hell until then, when it will get worse.

Only ONE reason the want a special prosecutor.... so everything will drag on for years and years.

That's only part of it. Besides dragging it out forever, the special prosecutors job is to find a scapegoat to destroy even if no one broke any laws.

” We have a majority - 52”

There are no more than 30 senators who support the Presidency of Donald Trump and there may not even be that many.

If they ever get a Bill of Impeachment in front of this Senate, he’s gone. It will only take 25 House Republicans to defect, and if they can cook up even minimally convincing fake charges it might not be that hard to do.

Never happen. There are already too many secret Democrats or leaning in the Admin. Clark needs to stay here in WI - he’s the only person attempting to stop the Milwaukee inner city crime blight from spreading into the suburbs and beyond.

How can you appoint a special *prosecutor* when there is no allegation of any crime?

Excellent question, apparently you can't. From the article:

I have intense dislike for linda but in this one case she's right.

Special prosecutor based on what evidence? I guess its the ‘seriousness of the charge ‘ that deserves an investivation?

“Nuke option!!!”

Bad Idea in exremis. When the Dems take control, and want to have enforced euthanasia on certain age groups or something similar - who will stand in their way?

Without any resolution, and lasting until the day a Democrat is sworn into the presidency (shudder); then it will be declared complete.

It would mean that you could lose a few Republicans and still win big. The vote could be 47-5.
