Embattled White House spokesman Sean Spicer may be getting less face time on TV following a shipwreck of a performance defending President Trump’s decision to fire the FBI chief, a new report said Wednesday.
A CNN reporter, citing sources, said high level administration officials — including Trump himself — were evaluating whether to replace Spicer with his backup, Sarah Huckabee Sanders.
“WH sources: Highest levels incl. POTUS evaluating Sanders subbing for Spicer in briefing room. Last night an ‘embarrassment.. disaster,’ reporter Jim Acosta tweeted.
Sanders handled Wednesday’s press briefing with aplomb, and will conduct briefings through the end of the week, the White House said.
The switch followed a disastrous impromptu news conference outside the White House Tuesday night in which Spicer hid behind some bushes until TV cameramen turned out their lights and agreed not to take video of the briefing.

I try to give him and all of Trump's administration all the help I am able, even if it is just prayers every day.

I really like Sean personally, but he’s not smooth and doesn’t always speak clearly.

Sean is why I watch daily brief, which no one ever watched till he showed up.

Yes, the same idiotic questions, asked by, as you described, an openly hostile press corps, not just every day, but over and over and over again, during the same press conference.
Sean does not have a good first impression, but he is very skilled at tactically dealing with these people. Was not thrilled when he got the job but he handles each situation quite adeptly.

Sanders did an outstanding job. Spicer seems like a really nice guy. He is too patient with the vipers, coddling them as they keep repeating the same questions over and over.
