A 16-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with a weekend incident in which a 68-year-old woman was thrown into an apartment complex pool after she tried to break up a party, the Broward County Sheriff's Office said.
The teen turned himself in to police in North Lauderdale, Florida, at about 5 p.m. Monday, authorities said.

Only if she was armed with the will and the capability to use it. Slamming an elderly woman to the ground could result in her death and should be treated as such.
How in the hell is this not a hate crime? This was pure racism. Notice all the onlookers celebrating the assault and near drowning of a white woman.
Yeah...when the judge sees that video the future astro-physicist will be exonerated and the 68 year old charged with battery.
Clearly he was just playfully lifting her to escort her safely away and she resisted, causing our hero teen to lose his footing, landing on the ground, hurting his full sports scholarship. He then took her to the pool to rinse her off from her slip to the ground.
His personal injury lawsuit will be filed later on today.
I can just hear that now...
So true. Who does that? One goes home to one’s apartment and calls the cops. That’s how you get the music turned down.
There’s that word ‘teen’ again.
Tells us all we need to know.
She was foolish trying to confront this crowd. She should have called both the police AND the apartment management. The pool was likely taken over by non resident youth or were invited by a resident’s kid. An eviction would be in order for the residents who may have invited this crowd of thugs. I would bet this complex has Section 8 housing ..taxpayer subsidized housing for the scum of the planet
Don't doubt me on this!
The Chuck E. Cheese redecorating crew strikes again. This time on a nice lady out walking her dogs. I thought I read that they just helped themselves to that private pool in some development. Savages.
“do I even need to ask the race of the perp?”
Ummm, did you not see the word “Teen” in the title?
Feral animals.
If you read the article posted at The Conservative Tree House (link below), you will see that the lady was on the board of directors for the group of town homes. Many of the residents were upset by the situation and wanted help from the board of directors. Apparently the police had been called but had not yet arrived. The lady went there in her official capacity. She was doing her duty. I would suspect it took a great deal of courage and I doubt she got the courage from a bottle. What I haven’t seen is an answer to whether the pool party people were trespassers or not.
The word teen implies what we think, but it’s not always true.
These degenerates need to be dealt with.
I am tired of the 2 Kelvin IQ crowd.
I was in Washington, DC recently and despite Johnnie being dead and gone for lo these many years, the Cochran Law Firm is still around and badder than ever apparently, judging by the volume of television commercials they air. Down here we have Jim Adler, The Texas Hammer, but I don’t know of a corresponding black ambulance chaser.
Yeah, that’s a problem. It’s admirable to tell yourself you’re not scared of these little punks, but the thing is, in this day and age you need to be, a bit. Guess she knows that know. Another conservative gets her wings.
The lady was probably a Florida liberal who voted for Obama twice and Hillary and thought she could engage the party participants in a civil discourse that would convince them to end the noisy party. When her body suddenly met the unyielding concrete she probably suddenly realized her plan was hopeless. Perhaps she will now consider becoming a common-sense conseravitive.
That's where Crump comes in, although he's more focused on his "civil rights" work these days (the recent aeronautical grad Trayvon...of course) and is located in Tallahassee.
Having said that I did work with Willie Gary (South FL) in years past when I was involved in litigation evaluations. They were viewed as "ambulance chasers" but they really did screen their cases for legitimacy. (...in other words, assume all cases go to trial and be on the record...not just pushing for a fast settlement...at least, back then.)
Yes, but the generation replacing them are soulless sociopaths. The future of those communities is bleaker than ever
