Army Secretary Nominee: Citizens Should Have Same Arms As Military
Bearing Arms ^ | May 2, 2017 | By Bob Owens

The West Point graduate and Iraq War Army veteran President Donald Trump has nominated to be the new Army Secretary has a very good understanding of the Second Amendment, which is predictably driving anti-liberty liberals insane.

Tennessee state Sen. Mark Green (R), President Donald Trump's nominee for Army secretary, strongly believes that citizens should be armed -- and not just with any ol' guns. They should be able to possess whatever weapons the military has, because an armed citizenry is the "ultimate checks and balances" against the federal government.

The people in Venezuela could use those kind of weapons right now.

The government there just ordered a six month ban on anyone carrying firearms with all the street protests going on against the Communist president.

I think he represents the Clarksville area, which includes Ft. Campbell Army base.

Up until the 1968 GCA, a citizen could own field artillery without any government oversight. After that, every artillery piece and every projectile has to be registered with the government as a destructive device, but they are still in private hands.

[Phone rings]

County Sheriff: "Oh, hi, Mr. Drill! Hey, some good news and some bad news. The ravening Islamic hordes have crossed the border in force, pillaging and burning. We'll need your howitzer at the artillery park."

BtD: "Kewlz! Uh, wait...what's the bad news?"

County Sheriff: "Well, uh...look, I'm sorry, but you drew out Tuesday."

BtD: "Tuesday? TUESDAY? Aw, man, the good ones are all gonna be gone by Tuesday!"

County Sheriff: "Naw, we're imposing a strict bag limit. Now come on, it's free ammo and the Chamber of Commerce is throwing a barbecue in back. Can I pencil you in?"

BtD: (Sulking): "Yeah, well, OK, I'll be there. Tuesday. I never draw out the season opener..."

Good luck. Between Clinton X42 cutting a whole bunch up and their use in Afghanistan as a DMR there are not a lot left. We could get some back from Taiwan but that’s a long shot.

Yes sir, I would have a tank tomorrow if I could afford one, even the fateful M4 Sherman, easy to maintain and if it's the only tank in the fight you have a good chance to triumph.

Many id not most of the Cannons used by the Patriots during the Revolutionary War were Privately owned.

Most came from privately owned Merchant Vessels.

Dang.

If I’ve gotta have the same arms as the military I’d better start lifting weights.

Ar15’s through the CMP, that’s all I ask.

And a SCOTUS decision that gives and absolute, inalienable right to own or carry anything in public.

Sad to hear he has withdrawn -calling his opinions a distraction. Perhaps Allen West can be named to replace him? Trump needs MEN who will not run from the enemy foreign or domestic.
