This an ordered review of DoEd regs and policies. While I am totally in support of local control of public education, there are a lot of laws that will remain even after the review. Some of those laws are needed, some aren't.

I would submit that the problems with public education don't always originate at the federal level. Just as many problems start at the local level. That comes from the type of people in control of education. In their warped sense of the world, educating kids is way down their list of priorities.

If you bring ALL of this CRAP SANDWICH to the state level people at least have a choice of where to live, states with more freedoms of education, regulations, healthcare WILL THRIVE states like CALIFORNIA WILL CRUMBLE!!!

That’s why vouchers are such a powerful tool. No guaranteed State $, earn them or the parents vote with their feet.

I would guestimate that 90% of the problems in education start with the parent. The rest is mostly from administrative bloat, and union corruption. Most of my freinds’ kids can read at a second grade level and do math problems before they get anywhere near kindergarten
