Using this logic, any state or city can decide that they don’t like SSM or transbathrooms or any one of a thousand crazy obama rules and simply ignore it. Maybe they should call their bluff out if this is the new rule.

The upshot - Not following 1373 means the FEDGOV can withhold LAW ENFORCEMENT GRANT MONEY.
The exec order, was implicating ALL FED Grant Money.
The Judge in his statement, confirmed that not following 1373 means you CAN and WILL lose Fed Law Enforcement Grant Money.
And that is all Culberson was looking to get to. AND, if these cities and states still refuse, they have to REIMBURSE to the FED GOV all previous grant monies for law enforcement.
So John Culberson, R-Texas confirmed that they are still on track to end the Law Enforcement Grant $$ to Sanctuary Cities.
When the personal opinion of any one judge is treated as trumping decisions made by elected officials in other branches of government, the system has a problem, and Congress needs to formally address that problem.
I know and agree with you. But, the Left never seems to really have to live with the consequences of their decisions or agendas. Let the illegals move into those liberal cities/towns and live with the kind, caring and compassionate, white folk. Those liberals live in the whitest safest neighborhoods, that tend to be rather exclusive if you can afford them. Let them deal with the 3rd world savages in a more intimate way.
