Trump can’t ‘intimidate’ California in sanctuary crackdown, state’s top cop says

The U.S. Department of Justice signaled its intent Friday to follow through on a widespread immigration crackdown promised by President Donald Trump, warning “sanctuary” jurisdictions across the nation, including California, that the federal government would withhold law enforcement funds if they don’t cooperate with immigration authorities.

In California, Attorney General Xavier Becerra issued a strong rebuke to the demand letter from U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

“If you are harboring, could you not be charged with a felony?”

Harboring an illegal alien IS a federal crime but I doubt any of these people will be charged...unfortunately. I would love to be wrong about that.

Oh, I totally agree. Stop giving any state money that refuses to comply with our laws.

I was just suggesting that Brown would love to find an excuse to distract people from the state’s irresponsible spending problems when it all implodes.

2011: "Ha! Who does AZ think they are, trying to enforce federal laws? Immigration is for the Feds, FEDS I tell ya!"

Oh! You remember that! The same thing they said about Prop 187!

And you know who screamed it the loudest?

Kevin de Leon, the Chino-Guatemalan-Mexican bastard son of an illegal alien, who also recently pushed a bill repealing the will of the People - Prop 187 - through the California legislature - was the guy. The man who said "only de federal goberment can make de eemeegration law!" back in 1996.

These guys are doing exactly what we all predicted then: once they got into the government, they fanatically try to dismember any enforcement against their people invading.

So do we let them simply walk in and take over the wealth and military power of the United States?

Or do we treat them as the enemy aliens they are and go to war with them?

He has publicly claimed half his family is here illegally. The Feds should pay a visit and arrest the, he should be disbarred.

But there’s nobody as ridiculous as Jerry Brown, the garbage who put all of them in place.

You forgot the CA voters.

You are of course correct but we should note that Becerra was not elected to the position of Attorney General, Brown appointed him when Kamala “Freaky” Harris left to go profane Washington D.C. by pretending to be an American Senator.

The flow of money needs to stop at the welfare level.
Laws should now be:
No assistance for any children unless one parent was either a legal citizen or legal resident with a propped green card.

This. No services other than assisting with EMERGENCY breathing and staunching blood UNLESS YOU AND ONE PARENT BELONG HERE.

I’m ready to change the Constitution to make it clear that people born on US soil become automatic Americans ONLY IF THEIR PARENT WAS A LEGAL RESIDENT. No tourists or illegals.

I bet Brown is secretly rooting for federal funds to be cut off. That way he can blame Trump for the state’s out of control financial problems.”

Plus if the state funds are cut what does “Moonbeam” care? He will just hike taxes on the citizens of California. Thank you LORD that hubby and I never settled out in the LEFT COAST.

This is the insanity that happens when you hire as your leading law enforcement officer someone who wants to avoid enforcing the laws at all costs. The anti-American anarchists on the left have already won in CA.

Time to make clear what that Sanctuary State policy is actually costing the average Californian and why they’re having a hard time coping with less jobs and services the illegals are getting. While getting hit for more taxes.

Becarra was born in Sacramento. His problem is not his
Hispanic heritage but his liberal politics.

He could have been born in Timbuktu.

He’s still Mexican. That’s his genetics, his heritage, his affiliation, his sympathies...his nationality.

If a Cherokee is born in Oklahoma, does that make him just another Sooner?

PS

I was born in the Old Pueblo...now called Tucson, which is not a Spanish word (it’s probably Tohono O’odham for “water at the foot of black mountain”) but lots of Mexicans like to claim Stukzon (er, Tucson) is theirs. Because the Mexican army put an outpost there in 1770-ish.

So what does that make me? Mexican, because at one point in history the Pope and the Spanish King claimed the land?

If geographic location of nativity is the only deciding factor and family heritage means nothing, guess I should get with the program and start paying La Mordida to the Alcalde. Like they do in Nogales....Sonora.

Sorry but I was born and raised as the 12th generation American I am. But physically closer to Mexico then Becerra. Yet I don’t think anyone would mistake my white Anglo-Saxon Protestant butt for anything remotely resembling a citizen of Old Mexico as they used to call it.

And since we left Europe 3 centuries ago I really ain’t got no other place to call home. So ‘murrican I am and ‘murrican I’ll always be.

And Becerra? He coulda been born in Seattle, not Sacramento, and he’d still be the ranting Mexican nationalist he will always be.

He has no business making or enforcing laws for the Americans. He doesn’t think America should exist and he’s never been one of us.

Witholding funds should be just the first step. Next should come Federal arrest warrants for Obstruction of Justice. These clowns are real brave when playing with house money. Let’s see if they’re willing to go to jail for their political stances.

Noticed you conveniently stuck “nationalist” in as an
adjective for Beccera. I am not going to defend a
libtard who may well be a Mexican nationalist. However,
I must have missed the part where you stated that there
are Mexican-Americans who disagree with Xavier Beccera
like there are black Americans who disagree with Barack
Obama. Or, is there something else at work?
