America has always had its divisions, and Americans have never really been a monolith. We’ve always been a nation of many nations. The culture of New England is different from the culture of the Deep South, which is different from the cultures in the West Coast or the Midwest. People living in the cities have different beliefs than people who live in the countryside. Within those areas, there are ethnic, linguistic, and religious enclaves. It’s always kind of been like that (probably to a lesser degree in the past), and somehow we’ve been able to find enough common ground to keep this country together for more than a century.
However, something has changed. You can feel it in the air. Our nation has clearly never been this divided since the Civil War. A lot of people noticed it after the last election, but the truth is that these divisions have been deepening for decades, and they’re just now reaching a very noticeable breaking point. That’s obvious enough when you look at how the left and the right have been going at each other. It used to be a war of words, but it’s turning into something very dark.
Consider what happened last week in Berkeley after Trump supporters and counter protesters clashed for the third time. 21 people were arrested and 11 were injured (that we know of), six of who had to be taken to the hospital. At least one person was stabbed. The police confiscated confiscated knives, stun guns, and poles. One Trump supporter admitted to being surrounded, pepper sprayed, and beaten with sticks by a mob of “protesters.”
But wait, that’s not the dark part. After these groups clashed, the leftist protesters took to Reddit and admitted that they lost this particular battle ...

I know that AntiFa was pushing a custom engraved concealable knife.
Everyone attending these rallies should get some Kevlar Sleeves. They are cheap. $20 for a pair. If someone starts slashing, these will prevent or limit cutting. The natural reaction to a blade coming at your is to raise your forearm to protect your face. These sleeves can help stop grievous injury.

We, as a nation, have NEVER been as divided as we are today and I'm probably older than you and have not only an excellent memory, but know history!
We are THIS divided, due to many things; not the lest of it the 8 years of Obama.
There WAS a time, in America, when everyone saw the same movies, listened to the same popular music, listened to the same radio shows, then watched the same T.V. shows, and it was only the idiot fringe, who had different views about most things.
Most motorcycle clubs are not "One-Percenters," or not among those manifesting predominantly outside-of-the-law proclivities, activities and festivities (Huns, Hell's Angels, Mongols, etc). They are nonetheless almost all badasses of one sort or another, many sharing prior military service. Quite a few are actual, honest-to-goodness, dyed-in-the-wool snake eaters.
And all of them, including the 1%-ers, will be invaluable should push ever come to shove here in America, because the Bikers LOVE Donald Trump and America.
They're with us. Hell, they are us in my case. I ride like the wind.

Not to seem glib, but if you have to ask, the rules don't apply to you. Seriously.
Short version: Do NOT get involved with one percenters unless you are a badass (I’m not) and a criminal (I’m not). But other MCs (motorcycle clubs) are often just a bunch of people who like to ride together, are mostly professionals (riding is not cheap) and/or retired military, and just want to be left alone.
I grew up in that America, in the '50's... that was the last of that world, but it was glorious, and it will be again.
Right. Things are way more serious then they’ve ever been.
In the past we all shared certain core values but disagreed on the best way to achieve them.
Now there are 2 sides who are committed to diametrically opposed, mutually exclusive world views.
There have always been riots and protests but they revolved around specific events or issues. Now one side says the other has no right to exist.
In the past we disagreed with each other.
Now we frickin’ despise each other.
PS I am a registered Patriot Guard rider, although I don't ride much anymore...

Well written article. If the left wants a civil war I say bring it on. Look at the red/blue map of the 2016 election. Liberals live in cities. Cities don’t feed themselves. Imagine what a major city would look like in a month if even 75% of food and fuel shipments into it were blocked. This is a fight for Americans future and freedom against Marxism and the horrors of socialism. We must win it.
Please Dude, if you are a TexasGator then maybe you live near me. I live in East Texas in Montgomery County. If you live here in this county, I’d be surprised if you have never heard of the MC club wearing the Cut and Shoot insignia? Folks, Cut and Shoot is an old Texas town, that’s it’s name Cut and Shoot. All those MC club members wear their denims with the Cut and Shoot Logo but they are all just old folks that like to ride bikes. Heck, it’s not unusual for me to ride into my small town and see their 100 bikes at the town’s American Legion. Probably playing bingo or something.
Trust me friend, most MC are not criminal
that’s why they need the illegals. With them they take over with votes
