This High School Girl Had A Water Gun On Campus. Now She Is EXPELLED FOR A YEAR

In the latest incident of anti-gun hysteria to erupt in a school setting, officials overseeing a school district in Alabama have expelled a 16-year-old girl for an entire year because she had a water gun at school.

Prior to her yearlong expulsion, the student, Sara Allena "Laney" Nichols, attended Prattville High School Prattville, a town of 35,229 just northwest of Montgomery.

Nichols and her mother, Tara Herring, say the teen girl did not bring the water gun to school. Instead, the mother and daughter claim, a male classmate gave Nichols the water gun to Nichols "as a joke."

Nichols put the water gun in her backpack, and then in the backseat of her car.

The trouble started for Nichols on the following Tuesday when a concerned student told officials at Prattville High that she saw Nichols with a gun.

What the heck has happened in the last 30 years?

Liberals elected Liberal politicians. Politicians with nothing better to do but write laws. Laws written because 1 or 2 bat $h!t crazy Liberal soccer moms went ballistic because they were scared, concerned, disturbed that some child might come to harm due to something they didn't like. It's for the chiiiiildren you know.

Back in my high school daze, mid to late 1970s, one craze that went around was getting squirt guns shaped like brass knuckles.

I remember those. I kept them in the same drawer as my Clackers.

So, we then switched to not telling the 8th-graders when their last day would be. After a few years of that, the tradition disappeared.

How did you manage to keep it from kids when the last day of school would be?

Did the parents cooperate with this ruse?

Unless the 8th grader’s last day is different from all the other grades I would think that some kid’s sibling would break the silence.

I’m curious if this ended with the school faculty, or if the police were involved and if this will go on some type of permanent record, blackballing her for life?

When a kid gets in trouble for nibbling a brownie into the semblance of a gun (as one did), it shouldn’t be surprising that a student is expelled for having a real squirt gun!

As I mentioned before: In the first place God made idiots. That was for practice. Then he made school boards.

Back in the olden days, when common sense ruled the schools, the teacher would just confiscate the water pistol (like she did mine) and put in the desk drawer with the chewing gum box, and other toys she took away from kids, for distracting the class.

This modern nonsense came out after the murder of Bobby Kennedy and schools began “deviolence” programs to make the kids more docile.

Strange.

The little girl that saw the exchange said she was scared to death yet she waited for days before turning the girl in.

The little girl saw the exchange and they have video of the exchange yet the boy that gave it to her has not been punished.

Reports are that she was set up.

She’ll do much better homeschooled and out of that indoctrination camp.

It wasn’t that long ago when our school handed out water guns at the end of school party day.

Until conservative parents run for school board, this will never end.

We always let the 8th graders out a day or two early before their graduation—but which day was our secret. Never heard of parents complaining.

It would be great if this suspended girl could find a similar yearbook photo. Even better if it were of the principal, superintendent or school board member.

http://www.montgomeryadvertiser.com/story/news/2017/04/18/prattville-high-student-gets-one-year-expulsion-water-gun-incident/100577098/

The family has hired Montgomery attorney Julian McPhillips. McPhillips has written letters to Agee, interim PHS principal Brock Dunn, Alabama State Board of Education member Ella Bell and state BOE attorneys James Ward and Juliana Dean.

“(Laney) was the naïve and unwitting victim of a scheme (for lack of a better word) by several boys to set her up and make her take the fall for a water-gun one of the boys brought to Prattville High School on Friday, January 27, 2017,” his letter dated March 10, to Bell, Ward and Dean reads. “Yet the young man who brought the water — gun to school … escaped without any discipline whatsoever. There were other boys who knew about what was going on, and may have participated in the scheme, yet none of them were disciplined either.”

“. ..it’s not the parents paying the salaries, it’s the government.”

Salaries are strictly from taxpayers in the local district (property taxes) with some from the state taxpayers.
