It wasnt until Europeans took over North America that natives adopted the ideas of gender roles. For Native Americans, there was no set of rules that men and women had to abide by in order to be considered a normal member of their tribe.
In fact, people who had both female and male characteristics were viewed as gifted by nature, and therefore, able to see both sides of everything. According to Indian Country Today, all native communities acknowledged the following gender roles: Female, male, Two Spirit female, Two Spirit male and Transgendered.

most here are speaking “generally”. My tribe did NOT have five genders and it also did not put them to death. the truth lies on each individual tribe and THEIR customs. You just cant say “native americans did this or that, they did not all think or act the same.
It’s amazing how many hundreds of thousands of stories they have to come up with to justify homosexuality. If it was normal, they wouldn’t have to try this hard 24/7.
They are all a bunch of pervert liars.
DNA says male and female.
>> 5 Genders
Does that include the Hontas?
There are more than 400 tribes and each has their own culture. I doubt this is true for all of the them if any.
Yeah? And Soddom and Gomorrah also likely believed in a couple of different genders too- Hey- anything goes was their motto-
Just because a society is mentally unstable, and believes some stupid crap, doesn’t mean that what they believe is morally acceptable-
God dealt severely with those two cities for a reason- He dealt severely with the wicked and vile world in Noah’s day- Why in the world would a world today want to push God like that again? Are they stupid or something? Sexual deviancy is an abomination! What the hell do they not understand about that?
Sounds like a forumula for extinction and loss of territory.
I don’t disagree with you, but any history of American INdians at some point takes the reader to the atrocities one tribe committed against each other including slavery.
STart with Lewis and Clark, where they describe those that have and others who have not.
I have a relative who it was beyond me took a job on the reservation as their district attorney. We call him Longmire.
It was clear to me why they hired him, not to him. THey wanted an outsider to clean up the rift raft. He told me stories about the five to ten percent that make the reservation a tough place to live in.
Anyway, he did his job...too well. He sleeps with a loaded gun by his side. His car has been vandalized more time than Patrick Swayze’s in Roadhouse. He trying to leave.
Well, isn’t that special.
They were also a bunch of savages. Are we supposed to embrace that too?
Endever to persevere!
