“God does not drive your car.If you think so,close your eyes at the next intersection with lights and accelerate with your right foot”

we are not supposed to put God to the test (except in tithing as He says)

a relative flipped his truck with friends inside, by the grace and mercy of God though 2 had to be cut from the vehicle and one was thrown out on impact none had a broken bone or any internal injuries.

God was with each one involved in this bus accident as well. His plan does not always make sense to us, His ways and purposes need no explaining or there would be no reason for trust, faith or God if we understood all.

Oh okay I hadn’t read that. Thanks. He will now be facing 12 counts of manslaughter. I wouldn’t want to be him, just for the fact knowing I killed 12 people as a result of my reckless driving. Sounds like he was probably drunk, then.

The way I look at is that we live in a world under the curse that resulted from the disobedience of Eve & Adam. That cursed world is populated by people who know both good and evil, and have free will. The only way we can escape the curse of evil, which is death, is to accept the offering of salvation and eternal life through Jesus our Redeemer who became the sacrifice which covers our evil nature. Most of our disasters are the result of our collective bad choices. Sometimes God does intervene for His own reasons which we cannot fathom. Ours is to trust and accept the will of God.

All men are sinful. “In the eyes of sinful men” means “in the opinion of mortal men.”

Driver of the truck was already reported to police who apparently were responding but the accident occurred before they can get there. I see nothing reporting that the driver was but I bet anything that they were drunk illegal alien.

No, it does not beg that question.

We live in a fallen Creation. Lots of bad things happen. It is up to us to Witness to others as we deal with adversity and as they deal with adversity.

I pray for the injured (if any) and families of the deceased.

Orange sign may have played a part in this...trying to avoid it. But t seems like he had to be far off the road to over correct and go straight perpendicular with tire tracks starting at edge of shoulder. Will be interesting to see what really happened. I cant see torn up grass by the shoulder which i would expect to see if he was off the shoulder .Still no name of driver.

UPDATE: 13 dead in church bus crash near Garner State Park

Article reports speed limit there is in fact 65mph. Which, to my mind anyway, is frickin' nuts.

And I’m wondering about response time from LE on that reckless driving report. I have seen no reporting in that angle at all.

Q: Does US 83 there meet interstate requirements? If not, WTH is the speed limit set so high?

Gina said it WENDLE. Try reading the Scriptures. GOD IS IN CONTROL, but He ALLOWS free will. You have it. You use it. He gave it to you. As Gina said, read the Book. I did. I even read the last chapter of the Book. We win!! In the end, we WIN!!! We win BECAUSE of Him. If you believe in Him, you win also. Go read the Book. Maybe if you become a true believer in Jesus Christ you will understand the Book. UNTIL you become a believer, you will not. The Book says that also. Thank you Gina for your post. You are kind. God bless you and yours. Maranatha!

Oh yeah it definitely looks like he was off onto the berm heading for the orange road sign. Either sleepy, drunk, really distracted, or a medical condition. Has to be one of those four I would say.

Once got pulled over by cop because he thought I was a drunk driver. Had to do sobriety tests. I was just distracted..by my mirror..ahem....and my car has always veered right. Dealer claimed cars are suppose to veer right versus left to avoid crash.

God often blesses people with true faith, and people are frequently blessed when people with genuine faith pray for them.

BUT ...

God does not very often impose on our free will.

Whenever we risk other peoples’ lives through foolishness [or our own lives], we tempt Him. “It is written, do not tempt the Lord thy God.”

Challenging someone to tempt God is exposing a lack of spiritual understanding.

Q: Does US 83 there meet interstate requirements? If not, WTH is the speed limit set so high?

Texas roads have high speed limits. Many two lane roads in west Texas are 70 mph with some 75. Divided state highways (non-interstate) have 75 mph and some interstate sections are 80 mph.

Out here in the NM oil patch, two lane improved roads (those wide enougn to have a rumble strip) are 65 mph but most Texans drive as if they are still in Texas.

US 83 in Texas is known as the Texas Vietnam Veterans Memorial Highway. It is the
longest highway in Texas at a length of about 895 miles. It orignates in Brownsville
and exits Texas north of Perryton into Oklahoma. It ranges from a six lane divided
roadway to a two lane highway.

Thank you, too, R.A., for your kind words. I could see by his reply that he fully misunderstood what you wrote.

God’s words in Isaiah 55 kept coming to my mind in this yesterday evening. His thoughts and ways are so much higher than ours, while we’re busy trying to fit him in our finite minds. At this time we only “see through a glass darkly.” I look forward to the Day we know even as we’re known. :-)
