A Catoctin High School student faces felony charges for what investigators called a detailed plot to carry out a mass shooting at the school. Her father tipped authorities to the alleged plot, which included a timeline, phases of the attack and a target date, as well as a gun and potential bomb-making materials.
There is no doubt in our minds that we averted a disaster out there, said Frederick County Sheriff Charles Jenkins, comparing the possible destruction to the deadly attacks on Columbine High and Sandy Hook Elementary.
It was Nichole Cevarios father who alerted investigators to her plans, which, Jenkins said, were outlined in detail in her diary. Entries dating back to mid-December spell out a timeline and phases of a planned attack on Catoctin High School, in Thurmont, Maryland, set for April 5, he said.
Investigators quickly determined Cevario was acting alone and that no weapons or explosives had been on school grounds, said Maj. Tim Clarke, with the sheriffs department.
However, Cevario had been gathering intelligence on emergency procedures at the school during drills and asking questions about the school resource deputy, asking, for example, how deputies were armed when they responded to a school emergency, Jenkins said.

You obviously don’t know what you’re talking about & didn’t research it.
I feel like I woke up in the Twilight Zone with all the sympathy for this psycho.
Just imagine what might have happened to Stephen King if they’d found HIS diary when he was in High School.
Being a female, she probably wasn't taken seriously.
The marxist welfare state has moved children so far out from under their parent's care and protection, that most parents have become vulnerable to what their wayward children could or would do to them if they opposed the behavior of their nearly-emancipation-aged child. I have friends whose lives were made a misery by a young adult chilld into drugs. Ditto with mental illness, where the "rights" of the violent loonies are so much more important than those of the rest of society.
Twilight Zone it is then.
You’re right, it is weird.
An 18-year old girl with absolutely zero online presence, no Facebook, no Instagram, nothing. Not one comment by any of her friends or fellow students anywhere. Not a single picture released by the police. She’s an adult, for crying out loud. Doesn’t she have a driver’s license??
Not a tough call for me at all. If that’s my kid, they are going straight to jail.
Sounds like a fake name.
The press is now generally suppressing any pictures that don’t agree with their narrative that only white males commit this (or really almost any) kind of crime.
Disaster averted by a good Dad.
Maryland “Freak State” PING!
Ahhh... They are balking at my Ad Block. Clever bastards.
Still haven’t seen a picture of her. Anybody?
>> Unusual for a female.
I agree.
I’d look for a boyfriend as the person who is behind this. Find out who she is dating or who she hangs out with and has a crush on. I’d also check her computer/facebook, etc to see who she is corresponding with.
Only diligent conservative investigation will actually reveal - at least - the family, and we can go from there.
This is an 18-year old girl with absolutely zero online presence. No Facebook, no Instagram, nothing. How weird is that? Nothing turns up on her in a detailed search except for this story and photos of her ammunition and bomb stash. Nothing on her parents, and no comments anywhere from her fellow students and/or friends.
She’s an adult, and the police have still not released her picture. Another oddity.
Props to this guy, I don’t have a kid but if I did I don’t know if I could send them to prison.
Exactly! Seemed strange two or three days ago. Now it’s bizarre.
