Having no government agencies is better than having corrupt government agencies.

The reaction will be slay democrats where they sleep

I’m sure many will act out in all sorts of ways. “They” know that the right is harmless until they reach “righteous indignation” mode. When that happens, well, King George found out.

So the powers that be want to have a constant check on the pulse of the right, and for very good reason. The left is dangerous, but more in a “paper cut” sort of way.

I have no doubt we’ve been surveilled, and considering there’s absolutely zero encryption for this website, I have no doubt they have our login information and deep knowledge of our accounts as well.

I've assumed that was the case even before bammy took office.

Hey FBI, let me help so you can move on to something actually useful... I'm a real American, not a bot or agent nor influenced by the Russians. I'm old enough to remember the Reagan years. I'm an old "cold warrior" and will always consider the Russians / commies / socialists enemies. I swore an oath to defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic. There is no expiration date on that.

There, now, get back to something useful like looking for the dozens of islamic terror cells that have no-doubt been set up inside the US thanks to 8 years of bammy's lackadaisical border policies.

"Government Investigating 'Far-Right' Websites"

I'm guessing that 'far right' means anything to the right of CNN, MSNBC, PBS, or Mother Jones....

Define “far-right”...

Although I can guess - anybody to the right of CNN and MSNBC.

I agree with you and I don’t care. All the leftwing Government scumbags combing this site can kiss my Red, White, and Blue ass!

I well expect they at least check them out.

While there are mostly and many fine patriots here, there are some sites that ostensibly proclaim patriotism but on occasion call for things that disregard or would damage the Constitution.

Plus, for someone with a typical education, even if they were genuinely intending to be ‘neutral’ or ‘fair’ it might be difficult to discern the difference between honest limited-government, Constitution-as-final-word patriotism and stuff that goes off the rails, since a deep study of federalism is pretty unlikely for most journalists and probably even FBI agents these days.

That would be all of here at Free Republic then?

I certainly hope that would be us. I would be disappointed if we didn't make the list of patriots who opposed the evil, tyrannical witch.

"Why is Comey still cashing pay checks instead of unemployment checks?"

Good question, but Comey is safely positioned, for now.

If Trump or the Republicans oust him now, the dim's will scream cover up like you never heard before.

The opposition has no real evidence of help from the Russians (nor will they ever). The Republicans just need to avoid the appearance of impropriety until the MSM tires of making up fake evidence against Trump.

It’s frightening if these monsters get into power again. The next step is to overturn elections without any pretense of legality at all.

Why is a republican president allowing this???

Could be as simple as .. "he doesn't know about it?"

They might as well investigate if this fake news also is part of this fake video causing the Ben Gahzi riots while letting Hitlery skate on it...

What the H3LL!

Who are they going to arrest next on Youtube?

Yep, many parallel in the culture ironically help this cause... the “estranged” conservatives rings a bell. Right now it is the estranged democrats. But the law always sided with the idiot, weak and perverted indeed.

The Russia thing is like her calling him a pedophile while she has a boyfriend actively molesting his kids.

It is why they do not want adults

Here’s the link to the McClatchy News website where Gateway Pundit got the story.

http://www.mcclatchydc.com/news/politics-government/white-house/article139695453.html

As I read it, it is an assault on our Freedom of Speech.
We might agree or disagree with the Russians, but we have a right to do so.

We have all kinds of “rights” that the Left demands: Kill one’s unborn baby, smoke dope, burn the US Flag, protest against election results, the military, responsible government, but WE have no rights to read “right-wing” news? And “right-wing” sites have no right to advertise and encourage people to read/visit their sites? Bots are only allowed for commercial advertising? Because Google and Amazon are bot-driven traffic Central...

You just described almost all of the Drive By media and most all Leftist organizations such as ACLU, SPLC, Huffington Post, BLM, the democratic party, to name just a few.

Still, people have the right to believe any nonsense they want, even if you and I think they're wrong or misled. I would not want any government, especially a law enforcement or intelligence agency, investigating anything opinion/political.

That's a high-speed slippery slope to tyranny.

If it is advocating the overthrow of the government, then it should be investigated. Yes, it is protected under the first amendment, but if calling for armed revolt or a coup or the suspension of the Constitution or any clause thereof, then prudence would dictate making sure that speech is the only thing going on.

One has a right to proclaim revolution, but there is no right to not be investigated.

You don’t think the drivebys are not guilty of that vis-à-vis Trump?

I despise the double-standards. Republican’s fight in accordance with Queensbury rules, while democrats street brawl.

I’ll worry about right-wing agitators after at least ONE Left wing group/media is even identified as anti-government.

I don't really know which left wing sites have been investigated. Of course the media is not going to mention that. I would really hope that several such were carefully analyzed. Again, I'm against pretty much any speech being censored or people being intimidated from expressing their views, but I sure as heck hope BLM and Jackpine Radical and the like are at least perused carefully, much as any Jihadi site would be.

Thanks for the link.

IMO, most right leaning websites have been on the left’s radar since the Clinton era and probably more so in the obama era.

This is not just Breitbart or Infowars, but all including FR and probably dozens of other websites, some very militant, some not so.

I do not think any president can stop it. The government is just too big for one person to know all/be all. There are just too many divisions, subdivisions and special projects within that fall through accountability cracks.

It’s the age we live in. I don’t like it, there’s nothing really to do about it that would be practical.
