He plays to whatever audience can help him. Like all of them. He’s a good talker; his conservatism was never all too deep.

Issa and the art of the cover-up of Bolshie vermin in power. Doesn’t matter if he loses the next election - he’ll just go back to stealing Porsches on order for some high end Kali chop shop.

Is he supposed to represent the desires of the constituents of his district or the desires of hard right folks across the nation?

An absolute idiot. Why on earth would Californians vote for a liberal Republican or Rino when they can vote for a Democrat?

Most of these guys desire power above all else. Principle can be far down the list.

What good is he as a Republican if he votes like a Democrat? Just as well have a real Democrat.

To me, Issa has never looked honest; but struck me as someone without much of a spine. Like Mr. Pliable in Pilgrim’s Progress. He put on a good act with his faux investigations, but never accomplished anything. And now, he has proved my hunch to be correct.

Conservative pols in CA are an endangered species and should relocate for a better chance of survival.

Sadly Kalifornia is gone and done. Stick a fork in it done.

Politicians will do what they do; they want to get re-elected, and will soften positions to get re-elected.

I think this last re-election, by such a narrow margin, makes him think he can’t be a staunch conservative and win next time.

Reminds me of an age old question — are the politicians there to represent their constituents, or there because they want to have power?

Are the conservative ones there representing their conservative values, or do they moderate their views, so as to attract more liberal voters on election day, and get re-elected?

Darrell Issa, who built a reputation in Congress as an imposing conservative attack dog …
What, like John McCain did?

Embarrassing sell out of principals. So stab us in the back. I can’t imagine being a politician betray everything you supposedly stand to get re-elected. What a whore. it is not likely to work so why not go out with a little dignity?

He’s been talking left lately.. leaning left.. but the actual left has gone way over to progressive and commie. There are too many repubs talking left. leaning left... since Trump has the Office... they are scared he’s off the deep... and they don’t know a thing about his voters... if they did, they’d join him.

They think the votes and the winning...(keeping them in their power seats)... are with the more left leaning people ... but those voters are not going to vote for them.. there are thousands of republican voters who will vote for Trump in 2020 if he keeps his promises and they can see the restoration in our country.. It’s already begun and for those timid souls, it will not be embarrassing to be a Trump voter... there will be no denying a second term if he wants it. The republican congress didn’t get the message the first time around... they think it was a fluke... Man! they are slow learners!
