ORLANDO, Fla. - Gov. Rick Scott has reassigned the Markeith Loyd case after State Attorney Aramis Ayala announced Thursday morning that she will not be seeking the death penalty.
Scott originally called for Ayala to recuse herself from the case. When she refused, Scott removed her from the case and assigned it to Fifth Judicial Circuit State Attorney Brad King in an executive order issued Thursday afternoon.
/snip/
Loyd is accused of killing his pregnant ex-girlfriend, 24-year-old Sade Dixon, in Pine Hills on Dec. 13 and Orlando police Lt. Debra Clayton at an Orlando Walmart on Jan. 9. He was arrested on Jan. 17, bringing a nine-day manhunt to an end.

On that we agree.
He also needs to be charged in the death of the other deputy who was run over while he was supporting the manhunt for this subhuman waste.
So it’s like Compton of Florida? hmmm...
Orange County used to be a nice, conservative county.
Then the NewYoricans moved in ...
I watched her whole conference. The dead give-away: she used the word “community” 47 times in 18 minutes. Generally, she stated over and over again her responsibility to the community, not her fidelity to the law. Another tell: She received over a million dollars in campaign funding from George Soros.
An enemy of the Republic and the Rule of Law, plain and simple.
During her campaign she said she had no philosophical problems with capital punishment and that as state’s attorney she would seek it in an appropriate case.
Now she says no way Jose no matter what the perp did. She should be impeached, not just involuntarily recused.
I don't know if impeachment is a remedy in this case. It may be, I just don't know.
There should be some remedy available when a state official announces they will refuse to do their job.
It sure didn't take long for the federal government to get after elected county clerks of the court once the U. S. Supreme Court voted to pass a law redefining marriage.
Ever notice how if you get one stray dog out with the beeves - no problem. But when you get a pack of dogs running wild they won't go after just the calves, they will take down a grown cow.
Great news. I had not heard about this situation until an earlier thread on FR today. I’m gratified to hear that Gov. Scott has kicked the racist Ayala off the case. I hope the perpetrator fries.

George Soros is attempting to purchase his kind of lawyers across the entire country.
I live in Orlando. My coworkers at work who are black were furious about this today. They wanted her run out of town.
Soros contributed to her campaign. Not only that but she is a Black Lives Matter Sympathizer. She later came out this morning when a reporter asked why she didn’t let the people of Orlando know she was against the death penalty, her response was.”they know now”.
Rick Scott did the right thing. She needs to be recalled.
