It didn’t take long for MSNBC and Rachel Maddow to go from hero to goat last night. Now some want to move them from goat to … victim? After spending all day hyping an exclusive on Donald Trump’s 2005 tax returns but delivering a prime-time “total nothingburger,” as Chris Cillizza put it at the Washington Post, some are speculating that Trump set up Maddow by leaking the tax returns himself:

I actually watched the first half of Rachel Madcow; Geraldo delivered more with his Al Capone’s Vault show.
Here is what I am finding funny about this. So, they received a “portion” of Trump’s 2005 tax returns, didn’t read it, didn’t vet it and knowing it is illegal to do anything with them other than ball it up and toss it in the trash, they “chose” to put it on the air.
And they are blaming Trump for their own illegal actions and idiocy? Haha.... This calls for an investigation into MSNBC and the d*ckw@d that received the file.

To explain away the ‘client copy’ stamp, the story was quickly hatched to claim
1) Trump leaked his own tax return or
2) (Howard Dean theory:) Trump wants everyone to know he’s rich
neither is true
If those idiots couldn’t read a 1040A and understand income and taxes paid, then they are beyond stupid.
Why would Trump release a form that is obviously beneficial to him and trick them into building it up as a huge piece of a scandalous treatment of taxation?
We know they had it ahead of time. I could have looked up those two key facts on those 2 pieces of paper in less than a minute.
Trump tricked them into going public with their own absolute stupidity.

Anyone can stamp “client copy” on anything and run it back through the copy machine. It is ridiculous for the media to even speculate about that detail, IMHO.

Well, obama was in charge of IRS, so i dont believe that. What i believe is that there are nothing on any of the returns. So it is not to obamas interest to have this leak when they can just whine about tax returns and make the none issues into one.
