There was much liberal gnashing of teeth when Donald Trump appointed Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court. Libs feared that those Justices would do Donald Trump's bidding without question. But it hasn't turned out that way, as underlined in the brief, unanimous decision just issued by the Court clearing the way for the IRS to turn over Trump's tax returns to the Democrat-controlled House. In reaction, Joe Scarborough went on a long spiel on today's Morning Joe, hailing the Court's conservative Justices. Get the rest of the story and view the video here.

On October 31st, Trump asked the Supreme Court to block the House Ways and Means Committee from getting six years of his tax returns. .... Snip..... That request has been denied by the Supreme Court. Fox News reported: But on Tuesday, Roberts formally denied the request. “The application for stay of the mandate presented to The Chief Justice and by him referred to the Court is denied,” the order states. “The order heretofore entered by The Chief Justice is vacated.” The House Ways and Means Committee first requested six years of Trump’s tax returns in 2019. Trump’s tax records are...

Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts on Tuesday blocked the handover of President Trump’s tax forms to House Democrats in their latest fishing expedition targeting Trump. Democrats and their supporters in Big Tech, Big Pharma, and Big Corporations are quickly turning America into a socialist state where opposition candidates are continually harassed and attacked using the Stalin rule. On Tuesday Roberts blocked the latest unconstitutional investigation on Trump.

Palm Beach Preparing For Possible Trump ArrestClick here to read the full article (Politico Playbook) Law enforcement officials in Palm Beach County, Fla., have actively prepared for the possibility that Manhattan District Attorney CY VANCE could indict former President DONALD TRUMP while he’s at Mar-a-Lago, according to two high-ranking county officials involved in planning sessions. Among the topics discussed in those meetings: how to handle the thorny extradition issues that could arise if an indictment moves forward. An obscure clause in Florida’s statute on interstate extradition gives Gov. RON DESANTIS the ability to intervene and even investigate whether an indicted...

VIDEOThere was great jubilation among the media and the Democrats back in February when President Donald Trump was ordered to turn over his tax returns to Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance. Finally, FINALLY they had the evidence that without doubt would absolutely sink him. So what happened? In a word, "nothing." That is why the entire case against Trump now hinges on "boxes and boxes of files" that belong to the former daughter-in-law of the Trump Organization CFO. Yup! It all depends on those "boxes and boxes of files" that might now be stored somewhere near the Lost Ark in...

On Monday, the Supreme Court ordered former President Donald Trump’s accountants to releases financial and tax records to prosecutors in New York. The former president responded in a lengthy statement, calling the ruling “a continuation of the greatest political Witch Hunt in the history of our Country.”FULL TEXT: ‘Statement on the Continuing Political Persecution of President Donald J. Trump’This investigation is a continuation of the greatest political Witch Hunt in the history of our Country, whether it was the never ending $32 million Mueller hoax, which already investigated everything that could possibly be investigated, “Russia Russia Russia,” where there was a...

Now here's some old-school shoe leather investigative reporting the New York Times probably didn't anticipate after it published its stolen-documents expose about President Trump's bad, bad, tax returns, coming from the green-eyeshade mavens at its tiny rival, the New York Sun. In Ira Stoll's report, headlined "Guess How the Times Knows So Much About Tax Losses Trump Uses," the Times is exposed for doing the exact same things that President Trump did on his taxes, in a report that leaves it its piety in smoking ruins. Hypocrite much? The brilliant piece begins with: The New York Times’ investigation of President Trump says the president used big tax losses...

Remember when the media got all bent out of shape that Trump called them the "enemy of the people"? Well, that's exactly what MSNBC was heavily suggesting today: if Trump loses, he might betray the United States, selling top-level intelligence to get out of debt. Pass it along! You'll never guess the impeccable source of Scarborough's scabrous speculation: none other than the palpably peccable Mark Brzezinski. Joe's brother-in-law. Mika's brother. A former Obama campaign advisor whom Obama rewarded with an ambassadorship. Oh, and let's not forget . . . a Biden fundraiser! Get the rest of the story and view...

The New York Times has spun out 10,000 words claiming that Donald Trump paid little or no income tax for many years. The Times says it can’t release the actual tax documents lest this compromise its sources, and Mr. Trump denies paying so little but won’t release his returns. Voters can decide whom to believe, but one fact to note is that the story doesn’t assert illegal behavior. The IRS presumably signed off on the Trump returns, except in one case in which it is disputing a $72.9 million deduction claimed by Mr. Trump. This is a fight rich people...

The Supreme Court on Monday denied a request by House Democrats to accelerate the timeline of remaining court battles over congressional subpoenas for President Trump’s tax returns. The bid by lawmakers came in response to the court’s landmark 7-2 ruling earlier this month to shield a trove of Trump’s financial records from several Democratic-led House committees and return the dispute to lower courts for further litigation. Under regular Supreme Court procedure, the ruling would reach the lower courts no earlier than Aug. 3, a delay Democrats sought to avoid by asking the justices to expedite the process. But the conservative-majority...

In the Supreme Court Oral Argument on Congressional Subpoenas for President Trump's Financial Records broadcast live, Justice Sonya Sotomayor slipped up and said "WE" are asking for his personal tax returns", while questioning President Trump's lawyer Patrick Strawbridge. Her use of "WE" instead of referring properly to the Congressional subpoena showed her true colors. Audio and transcript at 16:25 in the embedded video on the C-SPAN link.

For decades before President Donald Trump’s tax plan took effect, U.S. corporations with foreign subsidiaries had no (sane economic) choice but to keep their overseas profits abroad. After all, they’d face double taxation if they wanted to bring them home. Their profits were already taxed by the foreign country they’re operating in, and then to repatriate those funds would’ve required them to pay the U.S. corporate tax rate, which was then among the highest in the world. By year end 2017, right before Trump signed his Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA), upwards of $2.5 trillion in cash was parked...

It’s been two years since President Trump signed the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act into law. To the delight of supply-siders, the law contained significant marginal tax rate reductions for individuals and corporations. At the time there was lively debate concerning the likely economic impact of the bill, with opponents pointing to analyses that found little effect from the rate reductions. At the White House, where we worked at the time, we produced analyses that suggested economic growth would surge. On the second anniversary of the TCJA, the numbers are in, and our projections have been vindicated. The view that...

WASHINGTON—The Supreme Court agreed Friday to consider President Trump’s legal efforts to block congressional and criminal subpoenas for his financial records, scheduling March arguments for a trio of blockbuster cases that could have lasting implications for the presidency. The high court is the president’s last hope to stop House investigators and New York state prosecutors from probing his financial dealings dating back nearly a decade, and potentially longer. Lower courts upheld the subpoenas, which were served not on Mr. Trump himself but an accounting firm and two banks that hold the records. Had the court refused to hear the cases,...

The U.S. Supreme Court last week blocked a House committee’s subpoena for eight years’ worth of President Trump’s tax returns. The committee will press the matter in further litigation. But the logic that supports the subpoena undercuts House Democratic efforts to impeach Mr. Trump for asking Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden. In both cases, the use of official power to get dirt on a political rival is consistent with a broader, and valid, official purpose. House ethics rules explicitly prohibit using official resources to oppose a presidential candidate. Yet last April the Oversight and Government Reform Committee subpoenaed an accounting...

Earlier this year, California passed yet another law aimed at trying to keep Donald Trump off the primary ballot in their state next year. The law required all prospective candidates to submit their federal tax returns for the most recent five years to the California Secretary of State, after which they would be made available online (and to the media) with certain personal information redacted. That law was immediately challenged and a federal judge blocked it on October 2nd. The state appealed that decision and it was tossed to the state supreme court. In relatively short order the court...

President Donald Trump lost Monday in his effort to stop the release of his personal and corporate tax returns as part of a criminal investigation in New York. Trump immediately appealed the decision handed down in U.S. district court in lower Manhattan. In August, Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr. subpoenaed eight years of the president’s tax returns from account firm Mazars USA. The prosecutor is probing hush money payments made to two women, Stormy Daniels and Karen McDougal, ahead of the 2016 election.

A federal judge ordered a temporary injunction Thursday against California’s first-in-the-nation law requiring candidates to disclose their tax returns for a spot on the presidential primary ballot, an early victory for President Trump but a decision that will undoubtedly be appealed by state officials. U.S. District Judge Morrison England Jr. said he would issue a final ruling in the coming days but took the unusual step of issuing the tentative order from the bench. He said there would be “irreparable harm without temporary relief” for Trump and other candidates from the law signed by Gov. Gavin Newsom in July. Morrison...

The Manhattan District Attorney’s office has issued a subpoena for eight years of President Donald Trump’s personal and corporate income tax returns, according to a new report. The New York Times said the subpoena from DA Cyrus Vance Jr.’s office, was issued last month to Trump’s accounting firm, Mazars. Vance’s office was already known to be investigating Trump’s company.
