(CNN) The White House on Monday walked back a key point of President Donald Trump's unsubstantiated allegation that President Barack Obama wiretapped his phones in Trump Tower during the 2016 election.
Namely, White House press secretary Sean Spicer said Trump wasn't referring to wiretapping when he tweeted about wiretapping.

He put "wiretapping" in quotes for a reason.
What a coincidence. The NYT didn’t mean wiretap either when they reported wiretap.
All I have to say is, they better release what they have, and have it iron clad the truth.
My first question to these media boobs is, the Obama AG obtained a FISA order for wire tapping/surveillance. So, the question is why did they?
Only took a little over a week to walk that back.
They did so for their own political reasons.
That was the only reason for any attempt at a FISA warrant.
