Maddow: Melania libel lawsuit over escort allegations part of “assault” on media
Legal Insurrection ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Posted on 03/12/2017 7:48:27 AM PDT by governsleastgovernsbest

Looks like Rachel Maddow’s feminist solidarity doesn’t extend to Melania Trump . . . Appearing on Al Sharpton’s MSNBC show this morning, did Maddow express outrage over a newspaper report on the possibility that Melania Trump had in the past worked as an “escort?” Not at all. To the contrary, Maddow described Melania’s lawsuit against the newspaper involved as part of an “attack” and “assault” on the media. Maddow fretted that the media lacked the resources to “fight back.”

Maddow never identified the newspaper in question. In fact, far from lacking resources to “fight back,” the Daily Mail announced in 2012 that it was the largest newspaper website in the world. It has annual revenues in the billions of dollars.

Egad! What a ghastly looking creature. She looks a lot like the left-wing Ron Reagan with glasses.

So Maddow thinks the Media should be able to make any accusations, without fear of repercussions? At least she’s being honest here. Lies and more lies, as long as they smear the Trumps, AOK with the Media!

You can call this rabid progressive. Say anything or justify anything they need. Once you know this you stop watching and don’t care.

People know, citizens know who they want to succeed. Themselves and right now the media narrative is running counter to that.

I hate convicted pedophiles like Rachel Maddow. After the multiple counts of raping little girls, don’t you think she’d just slink away?

Odd that an avowed lesbian liberal would condemn any woman’s action to clear her name in the face of libelous slander.

Could it be that her psychic persona has been bent over into that of a misogynist with a decidedly liberal obsession?

Or could it just be that she’s just a half-baked rabid liberal Democrat who is also a pervert and turns it on and off at will depending on the argument?

I think it was Charles Murrary promoting his latest book on Bill Bennett when he was still on the air, that noted, that to counteract the left and their incessant litigiousness, that we had to do the same, tie them up in court and my words not his drain their coffers with legal hourly billing.

Two can play at this game Rachel, it is just you haven't seen a Conservative, Republican ( or Trump because he is his own breed ) with a set of cohones to take on your side of the isles madness since Lee Atwater.

Dang I am not tired of winning and her whining and complaining ='s winning....

I actually had a woman tell me that maddow tells the truth, and that she is not biased like others. When I pointed out how biased she is, and gave her examples she told me that she doe snot have to read quotes about her , as she watches her every night and knows she just tells the news as facts.

That is the kind of crap in this country we have. Stupid, ignorant people who think they are smart, and educated on the issues, and yet so ignorant, and stupid.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3769798/Melania-Trump-retraction.html

On August 20, 2016, an article was published in the Daily Mail newspaper titled ‘Racy photos, and troubling questions about his wife’s past that could derail Trump.’

The article discussed whether allegations being made about Melania Trump could negatively affect her husband Donald Trump’s presidential bid. Among other things, the article noted that allegations have been made in a book available on Amazon about a modeling agency where Mrs. Trump worked in Milan being ‘something like a gentleman’s club,’ and an article published by Suzy, a Slovenian magazine, alleged that Mrs. Trump’s modeling agency in New York, run by Paolo Zampolli, ‘operated as an escort agency for wealthy clients.’

The article, which was also published online by the Mailonline/DailyMail.com website under the headline ‘Naked photoshoots, and troubling questions about visas that won’t go away: The VERY racy past of Donald Trump’s Slovenian wife’ did not intend to state or suggest that these allegations are true, nor did it intend to state or suggest that Mrs. Trump ever worked as an ‘escort’ or in the ‘sex business.’

To the contrary, The Daily Mail newspaper article stated that there was no support for the allegations, and it provided adamant denials from Mrs. Trump’s spokesperson and from Mr. Zampolli.

The point of the article was that these allegations could impact the U.S. presidential election even if they are untrue.

Mrs. Trump’s counsel in the U.S. and the U.K., have stated unequivocally that the allegations about the modeling agencies are false.

To the extent that anything in the Daily Mail’s article was interpreted as stating or suggesting that Mrs. Trump worked as an ‘escort’ or in the ‘sex business,’ that she had a ‘composite or presentation card for the sex business,’ or that either of the modeling agencies referenced in the article were engaged in these businesses, it is hereby retracted, and the Daily Mail newspaper regrets any such misinterpretation.

The Daily Mail newspaper and MailOnline/DailyMail.com have entirely separate editors and journalistic teams.

In so far as MailOnline/DailyMail.com published the same article it wholeheartedly also retracts the above and also regrets any such misinterpretation.

Everyone thinks so, and states she is, but she denies it. She certainly looks and acts like one though.

Good guess

>>>“assault” on media<<<

or maybe an “assault” on slanderous malfeasance by the media?

There was a time when you could say the media was biased. That is no longer a correct description.

They are now participants, advocates, propagandists, shills, liars and strategists in the life of the nation on behalf of Marxists and subverters of our nation.
