That is becoming or has become a social choice. the only legitimate excuse to not abort a child is to raise that child as its opposite sex. The term transgender is probably less wrong than trans-sex. Gender is a grammatical term that sorts nouns and is vestigial in English and could, I suppose, be how we talk and write about people. The reality, though, is that sex cannot be changed, no matter what one says about it, not with the current state of biological science.

Brilliant post. Anyone - and I mean the dumbest to the smartest - should never refer to sex as gender. Gender is about language - not about sex or sociology. Sad people don’t get this but most of them, I guess, were never forced to study a European language in High School.
