Nonfarm payrolls increased by 235,000 in February and the unemployment rate was 4.7 percent in the first full month of President Donald Trump's term, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Friday.
Average hourly earnings increased by a healthy 2.8 percent.
Economists surveyed by Reuters had expected the economy to add 190,000 jobs and the unemployment rate to tick down to 4.7 percent. That contrasts with to the initially reported January numbers of 227,000 new positions and an unemployment rate of 4.8 percent.

This kind of mindless cheerleading is not helfpul. We didn't solve the grotesque structural unemployment in the U.S. just by electing Trump, and we can't until we eliminate ponderous levels of regulation - which takes a long time, and renegotiate trade imbalances.
A lot of things have to be done by Congress, and as we have seen, McConnell is the most do-nothing majority leader we have seen since Calvin Coolidge was president.
Well it’s obvious that the only reason for such decent numbers is because the lyin’ king left the country in such great shape. Right? LOL! You would think, that if the numbers keep going up, there won’t be many protestors left in the streets cause everybody will be working. Right? Oh, they are working. Just for georgie boy soros and his ilk. ;-)
These were good job adds too - not mcd jobs.
It’s nice to have optimism again for the future.
Trump Economics February Private Sector Job Growth Shatters Expectations, 298,000 Jobs Added

Note that wages rose, too.
Currently we are at 62.7.
The highest ever was 67.3 in January 2000
Gonna take some doing to top 67.3
It’s not mindless cheerleading at all. This trend started immediately after the election.
Reuters, US gov, and the independent hiring index all show the same thing: job growth is back, and the wage indexes show strong wage growth, so these aren’t temporary burger flipper jobs.
Yes, many things-—especially taxes-—need to be done. But this shows everybody that PERCEPTIONS are that the U.S. has done an about face, that we are clearly headed in the right direction, and that people expect Trump will MAGA.
According to DHS, 700,000 illegals invade the US every year.
WINNING!!!
Remember, Folks, Democrats, Nancy Pelosi & Maxine Waters and the entire Democrat Party is totally unhappy with these fantastic “Trump” job number increases!!! Talk about hater of the American people and the Well being of the American public.
Folks, come November, 2018...you all must cast your votes to totally “politically” destroy the low life, vermin, Democrat, Obama/Clinton...”Hate America” party!!!
DIdn’t I read 290k+ earlier this week?
That figure came from ADP which does companies’ payrolls.
From an article a couple of days ago, their number was 298,000 jobs created in February.
Also, we are invaded by illegals to the tune of 700,000 a year.
DHS reports that February normally sees a 20% rise in invaders, but this February saw a 40% drop.
150,000 jobs per month is generally viewed as keeping up with population growth.
If we can just hold the 40% reduction in invaders, that's good for keeping 280,000 people out of the country per year. Add to that self and government assisted deportations.
All these numbers add up.
I think we need a little more than 150,000 jobs a month to keep up these days. Maybe 180,000 now.
BUT...more good news. The federal government hiring freeze went into effect on Inauguration Day so these new numbers reflect that. Had there been no freeze the number would have been higher
JUST NOW, on Bloomberg, they were asking, “HOW CAN THIS BE?? We were told that growth would have to slow, because we were running out of PEOPLE who can work! Where did all of these people come from?”
Jf-inC...
Talk about living in a bubble. These “people” have been out there, all along. It was just racist, politically-incorrect, and potentially career-ending to point the unemployed out.
