Mark Levin: There is something horribly immoral about RINOcare
Conservative Review ^ | March 09, 2017 | By: Chris Pandolfo

Posted on 03/09/2017 10:35:57 PM PST by TBP

Thursday on the radio, Conservative Review Editor-in-Chief Mark Levin gave the rundown on the press conference of Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wisc. (F, 51%), in which Ryan tried to give the hard sell to Americans on the Republican American Health Care Act "reform" plan.

Levin called Ryan’s proposal “repeal in name only." Or, if you will, “RINOcare,” because the GOP plan keeps the core of Obamacare in place.

Levin had a “number of questions” for the speaker, questions that so far remain unanswered.

“Now, here’s my question Mr. Ryan,” Levin said. “How much will the average American’s deduction go up, or down?”

Further, Levin asked, how much will the federal government be spending on subsidies for certain individuals? Will individuals be able to see the doctors they want? The specialists they need? Will individuals be able to go to the hospital of their choice? Will they be able to get the medicines they need to get?

At the end of the day, the problem with RINOcare, Levin explained, is it embraces the Left’s assumption that government involvement is needed to make health insurance affordable. It embraces progressivism; it embraces centralization.

“Republicans have blown it,” Levin said. "There is something horribly immoral about RINOcare."

I agree. He was just bitter about voting Trump till the end. It’s almost like he had to because he won the nomination, but he still had his dislikes. The complete opposite of Sean hannity and Jeff Kuhner.

I hate Republicans.

When Democrats campaign they say...

“We need to raise taxes to help everyone.”
“We need government control of health care to help everyone”
“We need to put more restrictions on guns to help everyone”
“We need more access to abortions to help everyone”
“We need more government regulation to help everyone”
“We need more government control over everyone’s lives to help everyone”

Then guess what they do when they get power????????.......

THEY TRY LIKE HELL TO DO THE EXACT THINGS THEY SAID THEY WANTED TO DO

Of course they are wrong and these things won’t actually help anybody but that is beside the point.

It is now time for Republicans to put up or shut up. Either you believe that free markets are the best path to prosperity or not. Either you believe that government interference and regulation stifles economies and depresses prosperity or not. If you think there is a place for government intervention in healthcare, there is not a place for you in the Republican party. Go away and join the party that openly admits they want the government to regulate healthcare.

In fairness to Levin, the article you cited was dated April 8, 2016.

Levin never wavered in his hatred of “Hillary Rotten Clinton, Her Thighness”.

I think it was in September that he said he was going to vote for Trump in his opening monologue.

People can change their minds in the course of the campaign. I was a delegate to the district and state GOP conventions here in Virginia; I supported Cruz, because I thought he was the most consistently conservative candidate in the race. However, in the course of the next three months or so Trump won me over. In the main, his presidency has been amazing.

However, you have to take legislation one bill at a time; that you support Trump doesn’t mean that you can’t speak out against a badly written piece of legislation.

Maybe the silver lining is that if they take all the tax provisions out of Obamacare, then Justice Roberts’ contention that the bill is constitutional under the 16th Amendment is not longer valid (if it ever was); then the law as amended is a clear violation of the commerce clause and must be struck down in toto.

One of the ironies about the current Congress is that Ted Cruz has been one of Trump’s most reliable allies on the Hill, and I think Trump knows it.

Ha! He was first an avowed NeverTrumper.

Then he breaches a contract with Mark Steyn.

We still don't know what went on with divorce rumors with his wife.

Because he was a NeverTrumper after Trump won the nomination.

You lie. Levin was a NeverTrumper after the nomination went to Trump, then he shifted to calling Trump “a terrible choice, but less terrible than Hillary.”

Isn’t the law setup in 3 stages because of the reconciliation process? Conservative Treehouse’s Sundance says Levin is full of crap.

No, he endorsed Trump.

Um, a last minute switch to stop his imploding ratings doesn't count. Levin is still a NeverTrumper snake, who live Tweeted 10-12 times against Trump's address to Congress, calling the new president too liberal. Idiot.

One of the ironies about the current Congress is that Ted Cruz has been one of Trump’s most reliable allies on the Hill, and I think Trump knows it.

Trump did have Cruz and family to WH for dinner on Wednesday, though I still don't trust Cruz, no slight intended.

As for Levin, he has gotten more than a fair shake from Trump supporters, I believe. It wasn't that he was conflicted because of his conservative principles, he didn't understand the fierce urgency of the moment and, more importantly, he was spewing personal vitriol and hate towards Trump that had nothing to do with his positions or intended policies, well into early October if I remember correctly.

What is it they say? Some things can't be unseen, well, somethings can't be unheard. Levin's foaming verbal hatred towards Trump endlessly is something I will never forget.

#NeverLevin

We still don't know what went on with divorce rumors with his wife.

He doesn't mention Steyn's firing to his many listeners who subscribe to KevinTV, and he is also wearing a wedding ring now, and the other day I heard him say Julie, my wife, though he abruptly ended the sentence and quickly moved on...

As for his excellent wiretapping reporting, Conservative TReehouse had the story laid out on Friday and he never gave them any credit. It was totally opportunistic on his part, and he isn't fooling anyone except his beloved audience.

Mark Levin is being disingenous at best. I listened to what he said on the radio and it was clear he was pointing to the fact of pre-existing conditions. He said that it’s immoral for someone to never have paid insurance to suddenly be able to hop on a plan and be covered for said condition. I agree with that statement. Where he is clearly missing the point of it is when someone had a condition and was covered by a medical policy let’s say through an employer, it then became impossible to change jobs. Not only that but if you were laid off, or worse fired, then you could not get insurance at all because you now had a pre-existing condition. Could his scenario play out? Sure. Is is possible people could see this loophole and try and take advantage of it? Sure. But to state that policy is immoral makes Levin look like a heartless bastard.

The House plan looks doomed to failure to me. It’s too much like ObamaCare. Even Trump is missing the point that we must end up with a more market driven insurance industry with people paying into the pool BEFORE they get sick.

Yup, I’m afraid you are right, that Trump and the GOP are both blowing the repeal and replace of ObamaCare.
