Did someone think it was actually possible to appease liberals/muslims/MSM (I’m aware of the overlap)? That’s cute.
I’ve skimmed the order. It reads like a trial brief—well supported by relevant statutes and case law. A real snooze to read, but not something that could be challenged on any legal grounds.
The President was always on terra firma with 8 USC Sec 1182 (f) standing on its own. But, it had to be completely overhauled to appease Constitution free liberal activist judges.
The facts of this case should terrify you.
I’m a bit bummed that the bit about giving preference to religious minorities was taken out of the new EO.
I hope that these very well-organized critics can organize themselves to help to develop a viable deep-vetting process for the countries affected by the ban. That kind of positive action would contribute to the removal of the ban on countries that comply with the vetting.
All they have to do is emulate the vetting process in Iraq, a country recently removed from the list of banned countries.
Are their hate-filled brains too addled to apply some common sense, and contribute to the safety of our nation?
Yes, I see that they put in their defense of the first EO which they are withdrawing, as well as pre-emptive justifications for this one. But I doubt that will stop some activist judge and the ACLU from trying to hang it up in court.
Of course, hopefully they have been conducting their review all this time anyway.
Muslims from Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, the large Muslim minority in India, Malaysia and Indonesia are still allowed in the USA. That is in effect the vast majority of the world's Muslim population.
