i think there are other threads with the NSA fisa order on trump tower and then exec order changing who could see the intel. Obama gave the intel to everyone inlcuding foreign countries.

This explains the narrow FISA request. But, to get a warrant, don’t they need a potential crime? There is none, IMHO. It’s a private citizen’s server pinging a foreign server, supposedly.
But the article reveals how hard it is to prove anything anyway, without content. The only way to prove anything nefarious would be to use Federal gov’t tools - which apparently is what Obama tried to do for months.
I’m sometimes not sure what is “real” and what is justifiable “paranoia”. I’m trying to keep a clear head, but I wish there was some evidence that this happened before tweeting about it for all the world to see, and for the libtards to joke about and call the President nutty and unstable. :/

He probably just didn’t want the media to know who he’s meeting with. At Mar a Lago they see everyone who comes and goes... so meeting elsewhere before they can find out where it is he can meet without the press being there (initially) to see who’s there. They’ll see who leaves the meeting, but he still got a few hour advantage this time.
This would be a criminal investigation. It is illegal to wiretap someone for political reasons. They are most likely going to try and use the allegations they were investigating of “ties between Trump and a Russian bank”, but who had access to the information gathered and what did they use it for?
If information was gained, used, or disseminated beyond the scope of the “investigation” that would represent a criminal act. The FISA court essentially works like a search warrant so the information sought has to be contained in the 4 corners of the affidavit - i.e. you cannot use information or evidence gained beyond what you are allowed to in the written court order. That is the framework necessary to view this. If you listen to calls on a wiretap you can only listen long enough to see if it is relevant to the investigation (in this case - ties to Russian government). If you listened and heard Priebus tell someone that Trump is going to talk about immigration and the content of that conversation had nothing to do with the Russian government or the investigation, you would not be allowed to continue to listen and you certainly would not be allowed to share that information with others who were communicating with the Hillary campaign.
Hopefully that makes sense? If there is no evidence that a crime occurred beyond an allegation the legal grounds to continue the surveillance or investigation would no longer exist.
Obama denies this, but if his appointees were the ones who carried this out and they acted upon it (leaks from General Flynn’s conversations anyone?) there is a crime here. How could they have done this without the approval of Obama? Consider, they were targeting the opposition candidate and the opposition campaign! Trump had his transition HQ in Trump tower. What would be the basis for the NSA to continue to listen to conversations after Trump won the election?

If they keep Trump on the defense, perhaps they think they can keep the investigations off the obama admin. They thought for sure Hillary would win and they’d be in the clear. Drain the swamp.
Pool loaded into the vans at 1:05 pm outside the library. In a caravan, the three vans crossed the street to the golf club, looped through a driveway there and returned to the library parking lot. We held there for a few minutes, joined the very rear of the motorcade, lights flashing, and drove east.
The motorcade stopped briefly on Royal Palm Way where a group of about 100 supporters gathered on a grassy area for an elaborate display. They cheered, waved flags and held up signs. A few of of the signs read, "Donald J. Trump - Making America Great Again" and another read, "Investigate Obama's Secret Coup - Expel Schumer." A vehicle featured a digital screen with an image of POTUS and red, white and blue flashing lights.
The motorcade then entered Mar-a-Lago where the pool held in vans in the parking lot for a few minutes. The vans returned to pool's hotel. We have a lid until 4 pm.

I watched a live video of that support group on Facebook. They were very loud and proud and had lots of signs, flags and a truck with an animated picture of Trump on a huge tv monitor. They were having such fun and I wish I had been there, too! There were a few pitiful protesters across the street, but they were a nothing burger.

Politics 101 - they absolutely do this and in light of the bombshell that was dropped today the “Russians” make far more sense today given the absolute lack of evidence or facts that support all of the hysteria. Brennan, Clapper, Comey, and others have said there is no evidence of Trump ties with “the Russians” yet the left continues to beat the drum. We now appear to have our answer!
They did think Hillary would win. That is obvious to everyone, but perhaps they made a last ditch effort to dig up dirt before the election and that would be for political reasons. However, the real problem for them may not be the “investigation” itself, but what was done with the information gathered (that had nothing to do with the investigation) and how long did this continue? At the point Trump won the election it was “put up or shut up” on the secret criminal investigation. If the partisan hacks in the system used the data for political purposes and not the criminal investigation they committed felony crimes.
There is no way Trump sends out the tweets this morning without real evidence. Much like the mafia, it is hard to get the person in charge, but naming Obama specifically tells me that Trump has evidence sufficient in his mind to make such a charge. Proving Obama knew might be difficult, but there are a whole host of individuals between Obama and whomever tapped the phone lines. There is a paper trail through the FISA court that the executive branch does not control. The real crime may not be the “investigation” that reportedly according to people in the know “found no evidence”. The real crime might be what they did with the monitored conversations during the campaign and transition. Who had access or was privy to this?
Was this a criminal investigation or political eavesdropping that would be a criminal act?
