The British, gay provocateur and former Breitbart editor is everything that traditionalists hate: bold, politically incorrect, unapologetic, and often offensive. He uses his unconventional style to spread conservatism, offend snowflakes and promote free speech. Milo is so controversial, many mainstream conservatives have completely written him off, for fear of tarnishing the GOP brand.
While it may be tempting to disassociate with Milo, the Republican Party must listen up and learn a few lessons from the controversial Brit especially if it wants to expand its base among young voters, who now make up the nations largest voting bloc.
The year of Trump arguably would not be so without Milo. His deft use of social media, especially Twitter, was second to none until his ban. Milos press conferences brought back shades of Andrew Breitbart himself his edgy, sardonic side was a shot in the arm of a race once considered Hillary Clinton's.
The GOP establishment would ignore that at its peril.
Milo probably wont be a senator one day. He will probably not run Fox News or CNN. I doubt hell be a regular on The McLaughlin Group. However, he will be a trailblazer for a new brand of conservatism: modern, blunt and always ready to fight back.
Im sure there will be a name for it then, but we can probably coin it today as The Milo Effect.

That’s all leftist b/s. To hell with Milo, to hell with Obamacare and to hell with the Hill.
Like him or not, the latest liberal criticism about him supporting sex with underaged children is more fake news. He was sexually molested himself (explains a lot) and of course is very against it. What he did relate was how, as a confused 18 year old gay, he had a relationship with an older man that he thought was helpful to him.
When I was in my late teens and early twenties there was an older woman that I still remember very very fondly!
I’ll take Milo over their Keith Ellison.
The only thing affected by what Milo said is Milo.
And even though I cannot support what Milo said, even though I agree with him when he says he was not speaking of pedophilia, I feel sorry for the dude, and I really hope that he doesn’t suffer any further as a result of what he said.
I got no malice towards the dude.
I have yet to see Milo’s unedited comments. So I dunno whether what he said was THAT bad.
Like him, I was sexually abused by an older man when I was young. I know how seriously that can screw a kid up, especially the bit where they make you depentant on them, and fool you into thinking it’s consent or love.
I’m inclined to cut the man a bit of slack for that experience, long as he doesn’t actually come out as a pedo or enabler.
Sorry, Kristine, but it’s yesterday’s news.
Now run along and find some other mole hill to make a mountain of for another fifteen minutes.
Is that character even a Republican?
Awwww. It always touches the cockles of my heart when left wing digital hacks like The Hill offer helpful advice to The Republican Party.
How is this the GOP’s problem?
He’s British, so I’m not sure he can even affiliate himself with a U.S. political party in any meaningful way.
Well said.
Non-scandal. Fake news.
Expand its base with young voters?
Get real. That is totally a race issue.
Young white voters never stopped voting for the GOP.
Young white women actually supported Romney over Obama by 48% to 47%.
So what's the problem?
Almost half of young voters are non-white.
They vote 80% for the Democrat Party.
Oddly, few of the new crop of conservative “stars” are American.
Milo = British
Stephan Mollyneux = Canadian
Lauren Southern = Canadian
They could completely turn this around in 10 minutes if they followed my directions.
Milo is more a libertarian than conservative. The term conservative gay is an oxymoron in ented by the left. What is true, however, is that Milo can find tolerance amongst conservatives he will not find amongst rabid liberal communists.
There is no division, imo, just a language shaping up about conservatives vs liberals
Let’s not forget though: If Milo was a leftist and said that stuff the left would be calling his critics homophobic and he would still have a career.
Milo = British Stephan Mollyneux = Canadian Lauren Southern = Canadian
Isn't Steve Crowder also Canadian? And Sargon of Akkad is British. Quite a number on Youtube. They seem far more insightful than us Yanks.
