Provide the so-called transgenders with a bottle of booze for anesthesia, an X-acto knife as a tool and a blowtorch for cauterizing. Tell them to ask for transfer to a women’s facility AFTER they have removed the offending parts.
They should just put one wing in one federal prison set aside for ALL the transgender federal prisoners, of both genders, and let them figure it out.
The problem we will have with the situation described in the article will be that the offended/fearful real female inmates will be able to sue, and win, which will cost the taxpayers. Then the transgendering men, who are really men, will sue, because they will feel that their gender identity has been dissed, and they will also win, which will cost the taxpayers.
Those guys are vastly outnumbered.Those women can take care of themselves.

Being a transvestite (trans gender) is a behavior, not a biological property. A male transvestite can decide tomorrow to be male again. Of course, we let them “self-identify”. So they are whatever gender they feel like on a given day.
In a sane society we’d tell them to use the bathroom that matches their plumbing. This is the sort of issue you get in a prosperous, excessively tolerant society where no one is starving or threatened by war. I’ll bet the people in Venezuela or Ethiopia would be appalled that we entertain these kinds of “first world problems”.
It has been too long since Americans have known any kind of real hardship. Imagine the reception this issue would have received during the Great Depression or WW2.
