The Washington Post reported late on Wednesday afternoon that President Trump ended one of Obama's most controversial and liberal policies: federal protections for transgender bathrooms in schools.
From The Washington Post:
The Trump administration on Wednesday revoked federal protections for transgender students who sought the right to use the public school restrooms that match their gender identity...
The move is a significant victory for America as a whole as polls showed that two-thirds of the country strongly opposed Obama's radical transgender bathroom agenda.
From Fox News:
A document submitted to the Supreme Court by the Solicitor General's office said that the Obama-era directive issued this past May did not "undergo any formal public process" or explain how the directive was "consistent with the express language of Title IX," the federal law outlawing sex discrimination in education and activities.
"This is an issue best solved at the state and local level," Education Secretary Betsy DeVos said. "Schools, communities, and families can find -- and in many cases have found -- solutions that protect all students."
"Congress, state legislatures, and local governments are in a position to adopt appropriate policies or laws addressing this issue," Attorney General Jeff Sessions said in a statement. "The Department of Justice remains committed to the proper interpretation and enforcement of Title IX and to its protections for all students, including LGBTQ students, from discrimination, bullying, and harassment."
The move is likely to start a domino effect of states getting rid of transgender bathrooms in schools now that the federal government is no longer backing this social engineering program.

Deconstructing the Obama Destruction One Word/Rule at a Time. It is the only way to be sure.
Bunch of people going to wish they’d used the bathroom before they left home.
I would characterize this as Trump restoring the gender protections that Obama tried to obliterate when he decreed that any man has the “right” to use the women’s restroom simply by claiming to “identify” as a woman.
If I were to walk into a restroom and see a man there, I would feel terribly unsafe. And there is no way I would use a public locker room if a man is present.
Before long he will only be the skid mark on a transients underwear
So why isn’t the truth reported here?
Trump has ended federal interference in Transgendered bathroom issues and have let the states each make their own decisions.
Another example of Trump getting the Feds out of our lives.
I was a youngster in the Sixties. I had lots of friends, who would confide things in me,
How is it that this didn’t exist at all in the Sixties, and now it’s a huge emergency?
“I was a youngster in the Sixties. I had lots of friends, who would confide things in me,
How is it that this didnt exist at all in the Sixties, and now its a huge emergency?”
Good question.
Another area where the Federal Government or any of its representatives have no business even considering any enabling or compelling authority. NOT an enumerated power, by any means.
Centuries, millennia, since the dawn of the first stirrings of civilization even, the separation of the genders by biological identification has been the customary and normal behavior of humanity. Our ancestors had the good sense to abide by these rules.
The “new way” has been attempted again and again in the past, always with the same result - it is quickly discarded because of the total lack of any lasting social benefit.
Leering voyeurism is not an attractive trait. And it is shared by relatively few.
The headline should be:
President Trump ends special privilege for the gender confused.
I've avoided public restrooms since this ruling. (bonus: it's saved me money on beverages when I'm away from home). The Ladies Room has always been that place where women and girls could feel safe. In my dating years, there were so many situations where it was the sanctuary of the Ladies Room that saved a gal from a bad situation.
It's all so hypocritical. There is supposedly great societal support for victims of sexual abuse. So how do they support those women having to worry about men in the Ladies Room? And what about girls adjusting to body changes and sensitive body situations? They shouldn't have to worry about men in their former safe space. And what about Muslims, Amish, nuns, (etc) whose religious values involve modesty?
How come nobody is talking about these issues?
Congress and Trump should pass into law a list things not found in the Constitution and that are therefore covered by the 10th Amendment and the states and are not matters for federal enforcement and are not matters of standing in federal courts.
Of course that law should say that the list is not complete.
Then Congress and Trump should pass a law that qoutes verbatim things that the Constitution does cover and say that these are the only things the federal courts can address except, of course, the federal courts can address and stop an action of the other federal branches not explicitly covered in the Constitution.
In short, Congress and the President can define over what the federal courts can and cannot have standing and jurisdiction. Congress and the President should have the cajones to do that.

Queers lived in closets then. It is past time for them to go back.
The age of the queer is over
Help me to understand the Øbama “reasoning.”
So let’s say there was a bio-male who was under the impression he was a she. S/he felt uncomfortable sharing the locker room with the boys yet possessed the appropriate wedding tackle to not stand out.
First off, would not a real she want to see naked males? I mean, if female is the correct orientation for our confused adolescent, that would be the natural attraction, right? I sure know it works the other way from the male point of view!
So Øbama rules that s/he has the right to go and shower with the girls. Which brings the next question ... would not s/he, who has this mental state of longing for labia, feel totally like a freak because it would be obvious that s/he had the wrong plumbing. Not to mention that s/he would be subject to intense peer pressure as the girls either made fun of the noodle or showed natural curiosity in checking out the package. Would that not be more traumatic for the poor confused child?
Seems like there is a research paper possibility there and yes, an opportunity for a grant.
“domino effect of states getting rid of transgender bathrooms”
Not likely. Look what happened w/gay marriage. Even when there state ballot measures that refused to legalize gay marriage, the legislatures overturned it.
So I fear the domino effect will only be further strengthen the gay world to the detriment of normal students.
It wasn’t “protection” any more than businesses paid the mob for protection. It was coercion.
