Pipeline Protesters Ruin Tribe’s Casino Revenue and Set Fire to Camp
National Review ^ | February 22, 2017 2:27 PM1 | by PAUL CROOKSTON

The Dakota Access Pipeline protesters are being forced to abandon their camp today, and rather than allow the site to be properly cleaned up, they have decided to light it on fire

Burning sections of the camp will most likely make a sanitary and efficient cleanup more difficult for the authorities, which have repeatedly clashed with protesters over the camp’s threat to the environment.

An even bigger reason many in the Standing Rock tribe won’t be sorry to see visiting agitators go: The pipeline protest has been detrimental to their most important source of revenue, the Prairie Knights Casino & Resort

And with a snowstorm on the way, that burnt mess will be soon be a burnt frozen mess.

What is not being reported is that this is not happening on tribal lands. These criminals are damaging private property.

I believe I read that there are over a dozen pipelines under the lake already, none of them as safe as this one.

Well, perhaps because liberal enviro protesters are special, and authorities bend over backwards to avoid any appearance of violating their civil rights. The same laws which you and I must abide by are suspended for those special liberals protesting in favor of some cause of the day.

That's so true. I heard on the news this morning that the "protestors" have been told that those who leave peacefully today will be given one night's free hotel and a free bus ticket to anywhere in the United States they want to go. Those who want to stay until removed have been told that they will each be given a picture of themselves being arrested so that they can post it on their facebooks and other social media sites. Then they will be released.

The filth-o-philic environment-wrecking protesters should be made to pay for every penny’s worth of damage they’ve done.

Eco-imbeciles.

The only thing the environmentalists are doing there now is protecting trash.

Ah.

The tribe, in its zeal to protect its sacred land (and the sacred casino money) of its ancestors, from encroachment and environmental damage by whitey and his energy technology (that probably keep their lights on as well), climbed into bed with any Left-wing Soros-funded unwashed hirsute did-I-mention-smelly? bed-wetter-without-a-job.

Now that the tribe's brand of victim-ness isn't selling among the white class, and the bed-wetters no longer serve the political interests of the tribe, they (the tribe) start complaining about loss of revenue from their tax-free casino and blame (you guessed it!) -- whitey!

I guess the tribe gets to have it both ways - blaming whitey coming AND going. Go figure.

I find this funny. The local tribe has to balance protecting their sacred sites against their casino take. Their first impulse was to bring in lefty agitators, but it eventually made a mess and hit them in the purse.

What I wonder is what the split is among the tribe. Were there just a few percent who were manipulable by the anti-anything-energy part of the left, or was the tribe as a group mostly concerned?

Unintended consequences all around. I hope there was some leftist frostbite.

Soros: mound of the dead

Mound (soros) in which the Athenian dead were buried after the Battle of Marathon

And the reason why those protesters won’t get arrested for arson is?

... because most of them are undercover FBI agents ?

No, not true. The land they were on was FEDERAL LAND.

Since I assume you will want proof, here it is...

Standing Rock protesters arrested after defying deadline

"CANNON BALL, N.D. -- Police are arresting Dakota Access pipeline protesters who’ve failed to meet a deadline to clear a camp on federal land in North Dakota."

"Soros: mound of the dead"

I don't understand. What has Soros got to do with the mound in Athens Greece?

Privately owned. Not part of the reserve.

Understand that the pipeline company paid for and was granted access by the feds. Not the tribe or protestors.

https://daplpipelinefacts.com/ Map.

Apparently: A company owned by the Forth Berthold Indian Reservation MHA is currently drilling a pipeline, upstream of Standing Rock, to transport 180,000 barrels of oil per day under the Missouri River. No one is protesting that pipeline.
