Dave Rubin of The Rubin Report may want to pick up a history book before trying to make claims about who Jesus Christ hung around with or would have approved of. In a rather hilarious clip, Rubin, speaking with comedian Trae Crowder, made the curious claim that Jesus hung around with a lot of Muslims, because he was in the Middle East

Islam, of course, wasn't founded until the early seventh century. It would have been quite hard for Jesus to have hung around with Muslims, given that they did not exist yet.

David Rubin released a video for Prager University entitled “Why I Left the Left”. I wasn’t able to easily copy it, but it comes up when you google it. It’s worth watching. It was the first I’d heard of him.
Yeah, Jesus was around a lot of Muslims (and others) and went in a whole new direction by beginning a religion based on principles mankind should live by. Some might say God sent his son to earth to save us from those other religions, and ourselves.
Verify? Verify??? BS like that bit of stupidity shouldn't require a trip to Wikipedia or even an old school encyclopedia. It should simply be part of personal knowledge gained in what used to be considered a reasonably complete course in World History in high school. Or maybe Comparative World Religions in college. But that's not reality these days, it seems, so polesmokers can make such outrageous statements and not be challenged because, you know, LGBTQxyz...

As I said, where the Bible conflicts with the Koran, they just say the writers of the Bible were liars. They seem to hate St. Paul in particular, because his letters don’t seem very Islamic, therefore he must be a liar. It’s no accident that Islam is an antagonistic religion; Mohammed wanted his own monotheistic religion to compete against Judaism and Christianity. The contradictions originate from one man’s desire for worldly gain instead of God’s grace.
