De Blasio Threatens Wells Fargo Over Dakota Access Pipeline
The Daily Caller ^ | February 19, 2017 | By Kerry Picket

Posted on 02/19/2017 10:54:51 PM PST by Brad from Tennessee

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio threatened Wells Fargo bank for its investment in the North Dakota Access Pipeline.

In a February 17 letter to Wells Fargo CEO Timothy Sloan, de Blasio said he wanted to “express my deep concern about your involvement, and the involvement of other banks, in financing the Dakota Access Pipeline,” noting his concern is partly based on being a Mayor of a “coastal city threatened by climate change.”

De Blasio claimed the pipeline would violate “human and tribal rights of the Standing Rock Indian Reservation” and would have “negative environmental consequences” to the land and water of the area.

“As someone with a leadership role in funds that are long-term investors in shares of your bank, I am profoundly troubled by the risks you are taking by involving your institution in this controversial project,” the liberal mayor of New York wrote. “Beyond the potential direct financial costs to the bank if Energy Transfer Partners is unable to repay the financing you have provided for the pipeline, I am apprehensive about the risks to your reputation. . .”

They’re in business to make money, not to support your personal ideals.

“What might be riskier is municipal bonds issued under Mayor Big Bird.”........

Could have significance should de Blasio’s henchmen decide they need money for bogus project in the Big Apple.

Thanks - I wasn’t aware of this, but then I don’t watch local TV or read the Seattle Slimes.

Did a search on bing and this is one of the articles that came up:

How Seattle officials could cut ties with Wells Fargo Tuesday

I didn’t realize that the New York City limits extended all they way to South Dakota.

I have no love for either DeBlasio or Wells Fargo.

May they eat each other alive.

DeBlasio is so epically bad on so many levels that it is breathtaking.

And yet Comrade DiBlasio is solidly the frontrunner in this year's NYC mayoral election showing the voters haven't learned a bloody thing in four years of his miserable reign. To compound matters, the only way he isn't the frontrunner is with Her Heinous in the race.

Wells Forgo should reciprocate, and give a negative rating to its customers for NYC municipal bonds.

ALL the major banks should retaliate similarly against politicians demanding they, the banks, play politics, and not economics, over their investments and investment funding.

It is hard to remember, but he was trailing Anthony Weiner until the Sydney Leathers texts came out. It’s in the movie “Weiner” which is worth watching.

If Wells Fargo had any balls, they would Immediately CALL ALL LOANS in the municipalities that dropped them.

He’s looking to run for president, haven’t you heard? If he escapes indictment from the Feds, of course, and if he’s voted out of office which is a high probability.

I know he's "looking to run for president". Those hooting gales of sound aren't the wind; those are my guffaws at the very thought of a two-bit Commie jerk like this even having that aspiration. Look at the state of NYC: full of potholes, burnt out streetlights, a school system ruined by libtard politicians, teachers treated like criminals, criminals treated like rock stars, illegal invaders welcomed with open arms, and a low wattage intellect leading it all. He couldn't even hold down a clerical job in an insurance office, and he only got elected because only 23% of the registered voters bothered to vote in the last mayoral election.

I could see Dems pushing him to run, the new, even more radical Bernie Sanders.

I'd like to push him, too--over a cliff.

I didn't remember. Still, what a sad state of affairs when the top three are Her Heinous, Carlos Danger, and Comrade DiBlasio.

Study Question: How do less-than-specks in congress plan to control the sun?

I've said this before: the answer is, the less-than-specks in congress don't care about the sun, they want to control the other less-than-specks on the earth-speck.
