I see de Blasio’s effort against Wells Fargo the equivalent to throwing bricks through a branch’s windows because of their involvement with the Dakota Access Pipeline. There is motivation and there is harm. I see it as harm that could be the basis of a lawsuit.

“would have “negative environmental consequences” to the land and water of the area.”

You mean like the tons of trash left by the environmentalist protestors or the EPA polluting the rivers.

I recall a disturbing incident many years ago where a black CA official, to promote the radical leftist agenda, described how they would use investments (or divestment) in CALPERs (the state pension fund) basically as a weapon. He openly stated that they no longer had to march or demonstrate anymore, as they controlled these funds.

The fact that nobody raised a peep when he stated this (again, openly) was very disturbing; American taxpayers aren’t funding these pension systems to create proxy forces for Al Sharpton. If De Blasio wants to end the city’s relationship with Wells Fargo Bank, let him show that it will have a positive impact on the city’s bottom line; otherwise, it is an outright abuse of power.

FWIW, I DESPISE Wells Fargo Bank.

A government official interfering and threatening a private business is the definition of fascism.

The worst part of those programs is that while Americans have their transaction scrutinized more closely than ever since passage of the “Patriot Act”, and we’ve been told that this is necessary to combat terrorism funding, illegals are being offered even more ways to move untaxed dollars around the world. Look at what you must present to open a bank account, and remember when Bank of America was willing to accept those Mexican consulate cards for illegals in the US; in pursuit of fees, there is nothing these companies won’t do - and despite the names and locations, there is nothing “American” about any particular bank.

Living here in NJ, I use the comparison between the hoops we must jump through to renew a drivers license with the fact that across the country, CA is willing to issue them to illegal aliens...

DeBlasio needs to better articulate these concerns otherwise I conclude he is politically motivated and nearly brainless.

as mayor, Wilhelm-cum-de Blasio is concerned about his “coastal city threatened by climate change.”

Big Bird is either a threat to NYC or a passing inconvenience to a resilient city. Of not a little concern are the voters and other supporters that elected him. Question may well be does such a mix represent a clear and present danger to NYC.

"coastal city threatened by climate change.”

If climate change was real no insurance company would insure in the area, no financial company would loan money for mortgages in the area. Too big of a risk. So why can people still get insurance and mortgages on their homes in coastal areas? Why did Al Gore by beach front property?

Funny...I was in NYC just last week (the West Side of Manhattan to be specific) and everything seemed to be well on the shores of the Hudson...no flooding to be seen whatsoever.

Like his hero, Odungo, everything this moron has touched has turned to excrement. This is just his latest sad example of why he is utterly incompetent to hold any public office

**********************************************************

........ which means he’ll probably be running for Senator or President any day now.

The detestable protestors had 70 people inside the bank branch I work shouting and being a$$es over this issue earlier this year.

Here is a map showing the pipeline running directly next to and under two other existing pipelines in the area in question under the reservoir they are bitching about:

He’s looking to run for president, haven’t you heard? If he escapes indictment from the Feds, of course, and if he’s voted out of office which is a high probability.

OK!! Everybody pay attention!

Lesson for today:

1. The sun is 1,300,000 times as big as the earth.

2. The sun is a giant nuclear furnace that controls the climates of all its planets.

3. The earth is one of the sun’s planets.

4. The earth is a speck in comparison to the size of the sun.

5. Inhabitants of the earth are less than specks.

Study Question: How do less-than-specks in congress plan to control the sun?
