Time for the IRS to go after the Dark Side for a while and give conservatives a break. OTOH, most Trump-hating, fascist “democrats” don’t pay taxes anyway. They never have.

The IRS takes special care of tax protestors. They go after them first to make examples of them. The IRS will forgive a lot of things, but not protestors. That's right, and good luck with getting a tax attorney to represent him if they find out he's a protestor.

By ‘deductions’, I assume you are saying the business posted a loss.
The IRS doesn’t particularly care what the number says on the W-4, as long as they don’t perceive a large deficit at the end of the year - time value of money, and they don’t want to wait. So, yes, some people can claim 10...probably some Mormon families can legitimately claim 20...but that is not what we are talking about.
We are talking about giving the IRS zero, when the math says they are owed a lot more than that. I guarantee an employer will only go along with that for a year, until the threats are levied.

Dumb, dumb and dumber. Refusing to pay your taxes is breaking the law - unless you cannot and then you organize an installment payment plan. The Dems are making a huge, foolish gamble in allying themselves with this sort of mob mentality. The Tea Party was not a mob, but the wild-eyed people who oppose Trump really are the mob and mobs aren’t good voters.

IRS: “When you didn’t pay we did an audit and it seems you didn’t pay enough the last 10 years. So now you owe a lot more. Thanks for opening that can of worms.”

I would LOVE IT if the Dems started a tax revolt.
I actually support them on it. The massive, progressive Fed.gov nanny state needs bankruptcy.
GO FOR IT!

“Suddenly, FReepers become massive fans of the IRS.”
No, but we do tend to be fans of following the law and, like it or not, that’s the law. The fact that we’re taking joy in other people’s impending indictment for tax evasion is irrelevant.

Not so fast... You can set the deductions as you like, but you're
supposed to pay quarterly once your tax bill exceeds a threshhold (either $500 or $1,000 if I recall correctly). If you don't, but still file and pay at year's end, you're likely to get away with it.
But that's only getting away with it. Maybe. I'm neither a lawyer nor accountant, so YMMV.

This is terrific, all these fools will end up in prison because the government has absolutely no since of humor when it comes to not paying your taxes.

Are Koskinen and Lerner still there? If so, they will likely get a pass as they are liberals.

I recall a number of years back there were some characters going around putting on seminars on how to "tax protest" - long on techniques to dodge paying up, but rather vague on how to defend their actions against the IRS. I knew several stupids who fell for that "protest" stuff and the IRS came down on them like a ton of bricks, pretty well along the lines of what you posted.

Trump can just use all those excess IRS agents hired to enforce Obamacare to go after these tax evaders.

Well it's been 30 years and we used a tax accountant, so I assume I'm in the clear. :-)
Then again, I'm a conservative, so that little troll running the IRS may have other thoughts...

OK, each of them can give what they owe to a black American.
Direct reparations with no overhead, very efficient.
To: HLPhat
That’s a good point. The IRS is a creature of liberal progressivism.
