Andrew Newman always pays his taxes, even if he hates what the government is doing with them. But not this year. For him, Donald Trump is the dealbreaker. He’ll pay his city and state taxes but will refuse to pay federal income tax as a cry of civil disobedience against the president and his new administration.
Newman is not alone. A nascent movement has been detected to revive the popularity of tax resistance – last seen en masse in America during the Vietnam war but which has been, sporadically, a tradition in the US and beyond going back many centuries.

I doubt that the IRS will give them the same leeway that Trump has instructed they grant to those not paying the Obamacare tax.

The IRS takes special care of tax protestors. They go after them first to make examples of them. The IRS will forgive a lot of things, but not protestors.
Good for us though, the penalties and interest will help the national debt and make them pay a premium for their liberalism disease.

Good. We can defund Planned Parenthood the Natl Endowment of the Arts, the list goes on. Maybe cuts at IRS, DOE. This sounds great. No money no go.

That’s right! If you don’t file and/or pay up your bank accounts can be attached, your professional license(s) can be revoked, they can put attachments on your payroll,leans on your property. Not hard to do, actually. All he has to do is adjust the deductions on his W-4 to about 10 or so (You can adjust your W-4 at any time during the year) . Of course, as others are saying, he'll eventually pay the piper even if he stops filing.
Conservatives could have / should have defunded the invasion of illegals with an organized tax revolt years ago.
