BELLEFONTE, Pa. (WTAJ) – Pennsylvania State Police arrested Jeffrey Sandusky, 41 and charged him with sexually assaulting a child. Sandusky is the adopted son of Jerry Sandusky, the former Penn State football coach who was convicted on multiple counts of child sex abuse.

That’s always the problem with abusive households. The environment you were raised in will always be normal, and you tend to perpetuate it.
Sexual, I would bet.
Prima facie evidence that he was sexually abused as a child himself, imho.
Truth be told, he himself fell victim to his adopting dad. No excuse for what he did, but it messes kids up when sexually molested as a child.

And Penn State knew about adopted dad’s patterns fairly early on & did nothing; surely at some pt somebody would have put 2 & 2 together, knowing any adopted boys would be or were at risk?
There was a weird case of an idiot snowflake calling Dr Laura about a kid he adopted and he was afraid to discipline him after he had molested his little biological daughter... She went apesht on him, telling him to read the book “Before it is too late”, saying he was condemning his son to some big trouble if he did nothing...
I would not be surprised if Sandusky was the “magnanimous” type with such little criminals in the making.
What I always wondered was why, if Jerry Sandusky was such a great Defensive Coordinator, weren’t there a bunch of schools inquiring about hiring him as their head coach? Was it well-known in the circles that Sandusky had these issues and that kept teams from going after him?
Oh, wow.
Did Sandusky abuse his adopted son? That would explain a lot.

But maybe this one will roll on all Sandusky’s clients that he was pimping the boys out to for so many years.
Back in college I worked at a restaurant with a gay manager. After he came to work there, he only hired gay guys. And youngish ones.
Got to know them, and every single one had been molested as a child.
Their names are just a memory now.

The son was scheduled to be a defense witness for Sandusky. During the course of the trial he (the son) informed the prosecution that the testimony he had been hearing bought back memories and he was now willing to testify against his father. He was never called as a defense witness for that reason.
I think it is quite usual for a person who sexually assaults young children, to have been sexually assaulted by an adult when they were a young child. Perhaps, because they were assaulted as a child, it feels normal to them to assault a child. I am not excusing it; but, it does happen. I have no idea how one stops that cycle.
