White people can get framed, killed, set up, etc. Her argument is tainted with the race card, she alienates the reader with the “because he’s black” addition. She should stick to the facts and fight for her brother.
Don’t commit crime, don’t kill anyone, and you won’t find yourself in jail.
I pass that area a lot during the summer on my way to Rockaway Beach. Although the Howard Beach neighborhood is beautiful with large expensive homes, that weeded area with the trail is no place for a girl to be by herself, at any time of the day. I think the father had repeatedly warned her about it. I often see cars parked alongside it with people just hanging out, perhaps smoking pot or drinking.
The area is on the way to a high crime area of Rockaway known as Far Rockaway. The part I go to is well west of that (in Rockaway Park). Many Irish still there. Lots of cops and firemen. The Howard Beach area that the girl lived and was murdered in still has many Italians.
They had a witness drawing of a person who was black. The perp is black. See post 13 here for pic.
Not to mention videoed confessions. This AH is guilty as hell.

Interesting. Put a knit cap and a beard on this guy and even without the DNA and confessions, it's real close..
He just looks like a gentle giant trying to turn his life around.
Most states do have a DNA database of all convicted felons, and have been collecting that database for the past 10-15 years or so. The databases have solved a number of cold cases. In Indiana, the database hit constitutes probable cause to get a search warrant for a forensic sample and test. The database is not set up to be a full forensic sample.
As I said, the DNA itself does not “lie.” But the circumstances of collecting the forensic sample and establishing how it got there are critical.
At some point in the not-so-distant future, the government will be seeking DNA samples for a national database for all live births. The ethical issues and implications are many.
Same type of people who consistently buy lottery tickets with money they don't have.
I heard or read somewhere that he dreamed of oneday becoming a rap star. This ought to pad his resume, if and when they release him early for "good behavior".

The police said over and over... in the hours after the assault on Karina the person may have been observed as being disheveled, possibly with scratches or cuts to his hands, arms, neck or face.
“It could have appeared that he was in some type of fight or accident,” the report stated. “He may have given any of a variety of excuses for his appearance.”
This is why you need to get the DNA good and drunk before you question it. In vino veritas!
