Fox Television's broadcast of Super Bowl LI on Sunday night drew a 48.8 overnight rating, according to Nielsen data released by the network, lower than the previous two Super Bowls.

Last year's Super Bowl drew a 49.0 overnight rating, while the Patriots' previous title game appearance in 2015 helped Comcast Corp's NBC television draw a 49.7 rating, the highest overnight rating on record.

To Brady: “Dude...You know you need a field goal, two touchdowns and two 2point conversions???”

Brady: “Here...Hold my beer and watch this....”

I now look at every morsel from the MSM from the perspective of what political angle are they pushing now. If one can even believe this metric, which is questionable, I think Reuters is pushing a “source grapes” angle on the game. Since the evil, Trump supporting, Patriots won, then the MSM pitch is “so what; nobody was watching anyway.”

I didn’t watch it.

Not sure how typical I am. But didn’t watch due to:

Hearing the buzz about all the liberal commercials turned me off.

The NFL in general has turned me off.

Not excited about the Patriots or Atlanta being in the game.

“Lady Gaga” makes me gag. She is outspokenly liberal and didn’t want to see or hear about her.

Seriously...

I have read a lot of articles on why the NFL is down and they all point to “more alternatives,” “game is not as good as it was,” and so many other things along those lines.

Not a word on the elephant in the room: disrespecting the US. flag by spoiled (and ineffective) millionaires.

Next up: 84 Lumber.

Nfl don’t sell.

Ratings are not swell.

NFL and Trump’s America don’t gel.

Kraperdick has a bad smell.

I don’t like the nfl, can you tell?

LOL!

Go Pats!

Go Trump!

We are not tired of winning.

Neilsen’s numbers are too low because of streaming, etc.

Was a dull 3 quarters though.

I have boycotted football all year after that idiot did his ‘knee’ thing...how disrespectful to our Country and the people who died and lost body parts giving the jerk the freedom to do it...

I didn't watch the Super Bowl either, I wanted Tom Brady to win, I wanted him to make history...so while the half time was on, a lot of us on twitter was praying4DJT...and then I went back to my quilting...

This morning I woke up and turned on the tv to see what the weather report was and found that Tom Brady did indeed win the Super Bowl and won the title he was going for...

As far as the NFL and the idiot CEO that runs it, he's a looser and always will be and until he is replaced and there is some American Patriotism brought back, I will not be watching or supporting them in any way!!!

Brady executed the greatest comeback in super bowel history and perhaps the greatest coneback in his own long, storied career.

He made it look easy.

The all Brady and billicheat games are boring. I quit watching when the cheatriots tied it. Looks like the dirty birds got paid to quit in the second half. What’s exciting about watching the cheatriots?
I did admire julios performance.. truly good playin the face of adversity.
I was shocked that Lady Gaga didn’t go politics. I turned away, prepared to be insulted and I was back in front of the tv singing along. God Bless America!

Yesterday was the 1st NFL game we have watched this season. They had better shape up or their demise will be entirely their own fault. Oh, and we used the commercials breaks to go to the bathroom, get drinks and get food. I unfortunately saw a couple at the beginning and decided I din’t need to watch that manipulation, during what was supposed to be a fun game. And I LOVED the 4th quarter!!! Go Pats!

I understand why people aren’t watching the NFL, but this was the Trump Super Bowl, Goodell was properly humiliated, and it was maybe the greatest comeback game of all time.

More liberal heads are exploding.

I was streaming it on my laptop. I was mainly just listening and browsing elsewhere until things got interesting.

So...last night was the lowest of the last 2, at 48.8%.

Last years was 49.0%
And the year before was the highest viewed at 49.7%

Less than 1% difference between last night and the highest viewed.

Somebody's either trying for filler
or pushing an agenda.

And then Gaga had to blow it by singing that Commie anthem, “This Land is Your Land.”
